Non Alcoholic Lager/Beers

A completely pointless thing, beer tastes shite in general and on the alcohol dulls your sense to that fact, why drink bitter if it has no alcohol in it.

May as well drink bars shandy

Can’t believe there is so much of it out there, I’ve never tasted a drop of the stuff... Love Cobra, that’s my Indian curry beer :-)
A mate of mine has given up alcohol and says the best is Moretti, second best is Becks blue.

Found this website and it may help.
Good job we're not playing Wolves in the bad old days or you'd need a crate of special brew for your nerves mate; )

Detox doesn't do anything. You either get off the booze or stay on it. You still wan't to go to a pub, so what's the point?
The point is I need to stay off the booze for a while, nothing more nothing less, been hitting it hard for way too long and I need a rest from it, I don’t need to abstain forever and have no intention of doing that, just laying off it a while is all... It will do me the world of good to have a few weeks off the beers..

Disagree .... If driving and not able to have alcohol, I'd love a decent lager or beer that tasted good, but meant I can still drive. I hate Colas, juices etc, and after one lime and soda am done. So an alternative is great.

My missus' current company, Heineken, are spending a fortune on their newly launched alcohol free lager. Not tried it yet, but if it's ok, will drink it when behind the wheel. And it has to be better than feckin' Kaliber ...

That’s it mate, want the taste and the atmosphere of the pub less the alcohol, for a while, that’s the whole point of this post ..

Do you take Milk Thistle and drink plenty of water? If not I suggest you start doing mate as it's a good way to detox from alcohol.

I gave up alcohol the other year for months, and ended up not going out or having one and going home.

Same as you I couldn't stand having juice after juice or coke or soda, but non alcoholic beer just tastes bitter (as does normal ale) and after 2 I didn't want another as gets as shite as having multiple colas, so ended up sat with people getting merry, and daft while I was sensible drinking a drink that isn't actually nice if honest.

As a part time piss pot, i non alcohol ale was pointless to me.

Yeah I totally get that mate, it’s just a short term measure for me, no intention of giving up my only vice, I’m sure I will feel exactly the same as you after a couple tomorrow... My mates reckon I won’t last until kick off tomorrow as not getting to wolves until 10:30 :-)

When I gave up it was mid season with my birthday, cup and euro aways, two weddings to go to and several family do's all were very hard to do alcohol free, but managed.

I even carried on not drinking after the time I had set to start again.

It was mainly matchday I struggled as they were normally all dayers and I couldn't be arse i ntge crown and ketttle or fringe with every one drinking amd havimg a laugh and I was on a bittburger or lime amd soda.

I understand though if you are a designated driver and off it for the night, but week after week is a pain, but doable.

You will be fine tomorrow, I will get to the ground first though and buy all the non alcoholic bottles though to temp you (if they sell it)
