Surely this would be another guy that we should be looking at. Why would we consider paying 15/20mil for Rodwell when this fella is available for circa 10mil?

Maybe because Rodwell's a better and more versatile player.

Home-grown rules are still a factor.

Rodwell is much more versatile; hopefully we'll see him developed by Bobby into a Vinnie like CB as part of the 3-5-2.

Also, that price for M'Vila is low I'd expect he'll go for more than 10mil; probably 15m with add-ons.

Many, many questions about his attitude by the looks of things. It's clearly no coincidence that we're not just buying good footballers but very well rounded and well mannered individuals too. The press love to make Mario out to be some bad ass but he's just a kid having a laugh, he's not malicious, he's not a horrible person. I think this is a big reason we went off Hazard too. We could pay the agents fee's if we really wanted him, of course we could, but by the end it was a circus, silly demands about playing positions and playing time, and that's just not for us. M'Vila was going to cost Arsenal 25m last season and now they're trying to shift him for half, and Arsenal aren't interested.
