Nice touch from City thats been well received at NL level.City provided a list with postcodes of all the teams playing this weekend in the local area.Funny that they missed off Salford.

Yeah it was a good thing for us to do, I'll be down at Cheadle Town, Salford and Gary Neville tweeted mentioning how we missed Salford off, what a shame.
 
Please support a local team in trouble even though non-league day has been and gone.

With no game on Saturday this is an appeal to all City fans to help a local team in real financial difficulty but performing out of their skins on the pitch.

Macclesfield Town are 5 points clear at the top of the National League (Conference) despite having one of the smallest budgets in the league. Trying to survive on crowds of 1500 is almost impossible and the players and staff weren’t paid on time in January. Despite all this, the team have been working wonders, culminating in the 4-1 demolition of Tranmere Rovers away from home on Tuesday night. https://www.mtfc.co.uk/news/video-tranmere-1-4-macclesfield-highlights

There are long standing links between City and Macc, Asa Hartford and Ian Brightwell are former managers and of course 20 years ago Macc’s highest ever league position and City’s lowest ever saw them meet in the old Division Two. If you hanker after sitting on the old Maine Road seats again this is your chance, as some were donated to Macc and still reside in the Star Lane End.

Better still if you miss standing on the terrace you can still do that as well.

Under manager John Askey, Macc Town play a passing game and are regarded as probably the best footballing team in the league. Only 20 minutes on the train from Piccadilly any support from real football fans would be fantastic as Macc take on Maidenhead on Saturday (less than 100 travelling fans expected). The extra gate money could make all the difference to the club so please consider coming along on Saturday. Good post that. Love proper football where you can go to a shitty burger bar and still see the game. None of this gourmet burger shite.
 
Definitely no gourmet burgers at Macc, also no prima donnas, no writhing around pretending to be injured. If you want a taste of good old fashioned grass roots football try us out on Saturday. If anyone is able to post this somewhere where it will attract even more attention then the non-league football gods will smile down on you.
 
Had a great day out last year went to see Sheffield FC. The world's oldest club. I am taking my grandson to see the oldest ten clubs what better day to see non league club.
 
Non-League Day again today, went to Leyton Orient v Hartlepool.

Biggest crowd in the National League, £5 to get in and the home sections were completely sold out.

If you own one of the flats in the corners of the ground, you get to watch the game for free game from your balcony!

Good following from Hartlepool as well, some rum buggers in their end though.

Orient finished with ten men but held on for a 0-0 draw.

Cracking game and a cracking atmosphere, might go again when they play Salford.

Nice statue of Laurie Cunningham in the park opposite the ground as well.
