Non League Day

Travelled down to the New Forest to watch my "little team" Wealdstone (yes that Wealdstone Raider is unfortunately ours) beat the lowest ranked team left in the FA Cup Brockenhurst 5-1 including this 70 yarder for the fourth! Lovely part of the world that even if it is absolutely extortionate to get a drink in the local pubs

Great stuff.

Always look out for The Stones results after the drunken days and nights there on our Wembley trips.

Goog luck Hereford with the re-launch, As a City fan and also a member of the Wrexham Supportes Trust, I hope the club is in safe hads now

City are a few Stones fans' favourite Prem team due to these trips! Unfortunately we're struggling this year, although we do seem to have turned a slight corner (touch wood) in the last couple of games. Been drawn at home to Bognor Regis in the 4th Quali Round so we have a decent chance of getting to the First Round and hopefully an FL team at home in front of the TV cameras to get a bit of much-needed money into the club!

In terms of non league football in general, I'm surprised that a lot more Premier League fans who either can't afford to go or struggle for other reasons don't go to non league games. They're so much fun and all the things everyone hates about modern football - no standing, no drinking, extortionate sums of money - still largely haven't touched non league yet meaning it's a far more personal experience and you feel like you contribute far more to your club even just as a fan.

Good luck tomorrow and to Hereford with their rebirth.
Looking at that fixture, if my geography is correct Long Eaton is on the Derbys / Notts border and for a teams to have to travel that far at that level is ridiculous.

Hereford are the most South West team in that league by some way. They were worried they wouldn't attract the best players but they're sitting top. Won 1-0 on Saturday!

Decided to go and watch Maine Road v Nelson Saturday and have to say I really enjoyed it. Road won 2-1 for the record.
