Nonsense from the Mail - Foden “ignores” fans wanting shirts signed

You’re spot on mate, but I’d change your thread title with a pre-fix of ‘Nonsense from the Mail’ or even just have this within the media thread.

When I saw the thread title I thought doesn’t sound like Phil, and indeed it isn’t.

Yet another cheap pop against anything City by the media, tiresome as fuck.

The quicker the season starts and we start smashing the opposition the better.
Updated as requested, unsure how to move to media .
Mods feel free to move if needed

Personally I think foden had every right to not sign the stuff for the kids , he is at a red light and has to concentrate on the traffic .
I find it completely mad that young fans now think it’s acceptable to walk onto a road and pester players for autographs.
Young fans in fail to observe highway code shocker

I did click the link to see the comments which were pretty much unanimously in Phil’s favor Mentioned that Josko did the same but not in the headline Journalism is the pits

I'd gladly put up with it if i was earning set for life money every single month for over a decade but I wouldn't survive long being a famous footballer.

Can't think of much worse than being hounded for photos or autographs literally everywhere you go.

I'd be more than willing to sign things for as many people as possible in the proper designated spots around the ground etc but outside of that id probably make it a blanket policy to not stop for anybody. I'd also be calling out the ones with multiple things to sign and repeat stalkers that are clearly trying to profit from it. I'd no doubt come across as the biggest twat when it gets clipped for social media.

If anyone is ignored, it's this wanker...

...and as a time-served FOC journalist, who knows how to do the job properly and fairly, I'm frankly (too) often embarrassed by the state of modern clickbait churnalism. When I started I thought it was the best job in the world, if I started today I'd rather be a gloryhole mop-man.

That is spookily close to what I was about to say after seeing the clowns face.
He looks like a mop and bucket man from a peep show.

Slow news day. As usual we've got our transfer business done early and quietly - we'll do our talking where it matters between now and May 26.
