How do pubic hairs know how to grow to a certain length, then just stop growing. It has to be factored into DNA blueprints, otherwise after a while we'd simply trip up.

Yep, I think our different types of body hair have different growth rates and limits etc. I'm sure any resident biologist could explain better, I think it's actually a relatively complicated process.

I once handled a large spider, or to be more precise let it crawl over my still hand/arm and you could tell it was still a very delicate creature despite its size. I think whilst you can often find an opportunity to handle a large spider it's generally not good for them. Have handled a few interesting creatures opportunistically but then felt bad when I subsequently found out the welfare implications for them etc so don't do it any more.

As for the big social media platforms, many of us would probably be net better off without them.
