For a guy whose people were helped by NATO/America you are very anti-American. I'd have thought Bosniaks would have appreciated the USA bombing the hell out of the Serbs and having American soldiers clearing landmines after the war etc.

They've never had a thank you for that and it seems the poster on this thread shares that sentiment.

A good thing to come out of the conflict would be - we don't have to spend umpteen billion £s on TRIDENT!

I would say that this whole situation suggests that we do need our own independent deterrent. If our closest ally and supposed saviour in the event of a threat to us can elect an idiot that keeps implying that he won't stand by his NATO commitments, then we really need to be prepared to look after ourselves. That's not to say I can think of any country that currently or in the near future is likely to directly threaten us but who can say that it would never happen when you look at the changes that have happened in the world since the end of the cold war.

I'll try and condense your long-winded tale. North Korea attacking the US is never, ever, ever, gonna happen. Stop buying into the bullshit media rhetoric and start thinking logically and more importantly, for yourself. Stop trying to make a case about Serbia, Bosnia et al. when discusing current political stances between the US and North Korea. The political and social issues are miles apart from those uninformed comparisons of yours. To compare any of these to the current North Korea situation tells me a great deal about your misunderstanding of current political standings.

And I agree, there is absolute zero reason why NK would attack USA. They're just trying to protect themselves and have nuke as deterrent of not being attacked. And I applaud China for sending right message to both of them.

You are right about n korea not attacking us but as for your second point of not buying into media bullshit, unfortunately masses will continue to do so. They will conveniently forget the lies of wmds and iraq when the us wanted sadam out. Even for the sake of argument if we believe NK will attack US and does attack us would they be able to some how bring down US control over the world replace them as one of the main powers of the world? Answer is no and at best they might be able to wreck some damage but in response they will most probably be wiped out of the face of the earth. Western media does love to potray kim as some ignorant fool but dont think he would be that stupid that he would risk the lives of his people and the fate of his entire country. Last thing the world needs is another dose of american democracy by having a regime change in korea.

On the sidenote in this present conflict one should also read about the korean war also known as the forgotten war which explains alot about the animosity n koreans feel towards US

With all this talk of possible nuclear annihilation, as we have 2 people who may even consider it as a form of attack rather than as a deterent would it be cheeky to suggest old Jezza's talk of global dissarmament isn't such a daft idea after all.

the rest of us that have them. If he can persuade Kim boy, then Pakistan, India and France, his philosophy
may gain traction.

Please don't misrepresent my comments towards you. I never said you should "kiss America's ass."

As for your comments about the Norks never fighting around Washington, but the Americans fighting near Pyongyang you might be correct. I'm not an expert on where the U.N. forces conducted combat operations during the Korean Conflict. However, if the Americans fought near Pyongyang it is because tens of thousands of DPRK soldiers stormed across the 38th Parallel into South Korea, a sovereign nation.

Of course you'd not include that into why there was fighting near Pyongyang. Just as you had previously stated the Norks have never invaded anyone. You are aware they routinely sink South Korean ships and has abducted Japanese citizens. The Norks, at least their government, are far from the peace loving regime you portray them to be.
