Can safely say I detest both as they are both detestable characters.

Those that are meant to know these things do say Kim isn't mad. That is just a convenient and somewhat lazy characterisation. Calculating yes and knows how to play high stakes international poker given that NK as a country has been playing it for years and has the playbook off pat. Personally I think anyone firing off nuclear weapons with gay abandon is fucking nuts.

Trump, who has the typical fixation with the military of those who don't have the balls to serve in it, we obviously see enough of to know he is fucking weird. Also since he wants to expand America's nuclear weapons he is right up there in the Kim wheelhouse of nuttery. In fact Trump claims he has already improved and upgraded the US's nuclear forces a claim that is sad on two levels. First is the idea that this would be physically possible in 6 months and two the fact that the sad deluded **** probably believes it.

Anyway since the Generals in Washington are in the process of staging a soft coup on Trump and the Secretary of State is telling everyone that the President speaks for himself and no one else I'll assume wiser heads will prevail. At least until it all goes tits up anyway.

is Mustard gas not included on the WMD list, the same Mustard gas that killed many Kurdish people? or maybe that gets swept under the carpet as tons of other chemical agents were not discovered but never mind i think they were worth invading for Saddams torture tricks alone never mind the chemicals

It's all about trying to blame anyone but himself for North Korea's actions after he went on record to say that he respected Kim for taking notice of what Trump said after the last missile test. After all, how could Kim possibly have authorised a nuclear test after the Orange one threatened fire and fury unless it was someone else's fault. If only everyone threatened nuclear war we'd all be ok.

Agreed. Taking responsibility is not something Trump does. Shifting the blame is something he always does.

It will be interesting to see what the Generals do especially Mattis along with Tillerson and what line they take. Which way China jumps will also be key. NK are in my opinion just building up there bargaining chips before cashing in. The US can't force Kim out and I don't think China want Kim out. What is instructive is how Kim has really ramped it up with Trump in the WH. I presume he sees the Trump administration as being dysfunctional and ineffective and is going for broke. Maybe even sees the possibility of fracturing the SK and US relationship. China would like that as well I suspect.
 
China has said that if NK strikes first then it will not stand in America's way in the event of a retaliation.
However should America strike first then China will back NK.
So America has to wait for NK to attack?
I don't think Trump will accept that situation.
I hope that I am wrong.

Trump can't get a ban through on Transgendered personnel in the military so not sure what Trump wants or doesn't want is the biggest factor at the moment.

All sides have to talk and I am fairly sure that is what Mattis/Tillerson want. Along with everyone living in China, NK, SK and Japan.
