North Stand Construction Discussion

Found these on twitter

I think it looks class.

From other angles you'd still get the bowl aesthetic and then heading towards the South Stand you get a huge area for retail/hospitality to create a fan zone.

The 2tier stand looks absolutely monstrous. Exactly what we have wanted and called for. They've managed to create two distinct areas which means on non-footballing days you are in a purpose built leisure area and on football days you've got that plus a superb stadium to enjoy.

I work in planning so used to these conceptual images, it's just to pretend things aren't set in stone yet so people don't get too angry at things. The CGI's show the quality of it.

The detailed plans are 100% ready to submit along with all supporting protocols.

The CAD renders are superb and bear no relationship to the drawings on here, which themselves are very accurate.

An announcement was made in THE NATIONAL in Abu Dhabi this morning (GMT+4) but has subsequently been taken down from their website.

It's bubbling !!

The important thing now is to engage with the consultation process and put your views into the final decisions !!

Why are people complaining already? These are just the first basic drawings and images.

FFS, wait until the CGI's are made public.

The forum is not nicknamed Bluemoan for nothing. I pit it down to the Manchester weather but there are a lot of right miserable moaning barstewards on this forum. Imagine having to work or live with them.....

Great news about the expanded second tier. The construction outside looks rather crude but I'm sure it would be easier on the eye in real life and are probably floating a few ideas about how it would appear visually.

Does anybody have a more accurate figure as to what it would get our capacity up to? There are a few grounds around the 60k mark and yes I am that petty I'd like to trump them.
