North Stand Construction Discussion

Im not a big fan of naming stands, south stand and north stand still sound good, one of best names for me since my years at city was "KIPPAX". Plain old simple kippax.

Not to sound to harsh on the players / managers that come and go but this club in particular is about the fans ( although hypo bayern think differently ). So relate it to the fans when naming, if we have to name it at all.
Best suggestion, let's stop the messing and call it The Kippax, no new this this, no new that, plain and simple, The Kippax.

I loved when the south stand was called the Key 103 stand

No because it isn't the Kippax. New ground so create new history.Don't like new Kippax either.
Yep, the Kippax was named after Kippax Street in Moss Side. We’re not there any more.

It should be named the Sergio Aguero stand. It’s where he scored more goals than anywhere else including his most legendary one.

Kun Aguero stand is probably the worst name ive heard, I guess this is why the club doesnt let the fans decide.

Just leave it as the North Stand then no one can be upset like why did they pick that name when I wanted this one. Then it could start a new thread called why didn't they name it this.

Is it either?

I’ve been reading all my life how it’s the nickname of Manchester City but can’t actually recall any fan using it to describe the club, the team or themselves, ever.
It was in fact books in the 1960/70s nickname: Citizens or Blues. Never heard it used either, nor Rags in real life just an internet thing.

Who was the first player to score directly from a corner following the rule change was my favourite fact. Ans: W H Smith, wonder how I remember that?

"What stand are you in?" The Centurians... I like it, every football fan can then never forget we were the first side to do it (maybe only side ever to do so) all these fans of the red tops etc think our history started in 2008, so this will always be a reminded however we are in the future (we could go shit again ;)
