North Stand Construction Discussion

Hopefully the new City Square has a few sit in restaurants inside the new main buildings and not just window service where you have to sit in the square. Would be nice after a game to go inside somewhere warm for a pizza or something. Perhaps even a social club as well.
Think the arena will be that given it’s got 32 bars & restaurants, they won’t all be kiosk types, some will be sit in, we might get a decent bar in the hotel too (but that might end up residents only on match days) be decent if they could have a themed pub in there, maybe a sports bar/cafe in the building with the museum/club shop is a possibility given that operates most days

Yeah. Themed pub would be good similar to the Ardwick one in the South Stand.

Public transport and additional parking needs to be sorted with any expansion. It's bad enough now, will only get worse with more fans.

Can we claim this infrastructure cost £200m and then pull it, but claim it as part of FFP. Asking for a friend called Jurgen.
I believe the public transport situation is already being looked into and will be better for next season with the Co-op Arena due to open in the autumn

Are tourists so bad, and why with a bigger capacity would they push out local fans ?
of course the club will try again to push out local fans, the tourists buy merch by the truck loads so bring in more money. The way we are going we’ll be like the rags in 10 years, with more Chinese fans at games than mancs. Some seem to forget that the club were more than happy to bin off local ‘legacy’ fans for tourists and other such like fans, who bring in more money, in the summer of 2021

Why would they not want both. You aren't making any sense. There aren't enough tourists to fill an extra 7000 seats a game. You do understand most of those Chinese fans don't travel from China for games the majority probably live in and around Mancheter. If the extended stand is targeted at a home end with safe standing, it's hardly to push local fans out.
