It's mad, so old fashioned.Just like we did at Maine Road, build stupid blocks of seats anywhere just to create income.
I understand the tradition of that stadium but a new build would have been far better long term, they have spent a fortune on a stadium that already looks outdated.
When you go on other footy sites no nowts allways bang on about "soul less bowls" in relation to modern stadiums.
They have no understanding of attending games and comparing old terraces that were cheap as chips to a modern ground where you pay a fortune and should expect an unhindered view of what you are watching.
Those views in the corner are a disgrace on a new build and should never have got through planning!

They'll end up just like the rags, whingeing about the state of their ground and how the owners haven't done anything properly to it other than add seats, whilst their neighbours have a new ground that gets selected as the preferred venue in the city. I mean, that's already happening with the euros.They "spent" a fortune on a consultation for a new stadium.
The decision to revamp clanfield will come back to haunt them in the future.

That has not been my experience of it, but it is highly likely and previously I said that was probably it.
Incidentally, 2 of the the other applications decided at the committee meeting that day had their decisions posted (hadn't looked at the rest). The 3 other related applications to this one also have decisions posted, but, they were dealt under delegated process.
Not that it changes anything of course, it has full approval for almost all of it, and those that need to know will know what they need to.
The date of the committee, next one up is 3rd week in October, that the final application (the 3 gable screens) goes to really should be posted at least a week in advance, and almost regularly is. The agenda gets posted elsewhere. That's more what I've been keeping an eye on.
No decision issued on the main application because they need to complete the S106 Agreement first. The legals on that had probably started prior to committee and the HoTs in the committee report only suggested 4 obligations so it shouldn't take a long time to get that sorted. 3 months is the usual timescale for a more straightforward S106, but it can often take a month just to get the bloody thing signed these days, waiting on the right people being in the right place to do so! I would imagine the decision notice will be issued by mid-November if not before.

To build a world class stadium nowadays costs well in the £1b plus region, they haven't got anything like that kind of money ! We're developing roughly one third of our stadium if you include the extra facilities which is costing at least £350m !! Liverpool have in reality added 2 extra tiers to old stands from the 1990's and I'm sure the cost is the region of about £400m plus add ons for a new contractor to finish off Anfield Road ! Value for money it ain't ! When I look at Anfield now it reminds me of the type of stadium lower to middle class sides stadiums in Europe in a nut shell it is a shit hole !SHOULD'VE PUT A GIANT ONE OF THESE IN THE CORNER! WANKERS!

No mate, you can't get a decision notice until you've got the legal agreement signed. Otherwise there'd be no obligation for you to sign up to it, you'd have your planning permission and be off into the sunset! The committee have resolved to grant planning permission subject to the completion of the S106 Agreement so the Council have delegated authority to issue a permission once that's completed.
