North Stand Construction Discussion

Will never happen, the reason as to why they are there is to do with crowd safety, they can be shepherded into the coaches easy and ingress and egress controlled much better when necessary The Etihad isn't the only stadium where the away fans are visible on Tv
City, Spurs, Arsenal, Brighton, Brentford, Forest, Wolves, Fulham, Luton, Burnley, Blades all have away fans in prominent positions for tv.

They weren’t unavoidable at all. Thousands were forced out of the north stand. They didn’t have to do that all, it was completely avoidable.

Sounds like whatever the club do you will support. Being the best club in the world, doesn’t mean everything they do is right or you have to agree with it.

I know lots of long term city fans who’ve been priced out of season tickets and now can’t afford the ridiculously high match day tickets. Our match day ticket prices are scandalous and you must be pretty well off if you think they’re reasonably priced.

I’ll repeat a football club isn’t just a business. Theyve done lots of things right, but I’m don’t agree with everything.
Glad you agree they’ve done lots of things right anyway. But our season tickets are cheaper than several other teams. There’s always going to be some people who have to have other priorities- I’ve been there when I had my kids for example, and when I had to live in London for 6 years. But I think they’re good value - especially in view of the players we watch every home game - & the results.

I’ve been going for over 55 years by the way & am from Wythenshawe so no - I’m not loaded

It may or may not be a business (I'd say it is and always has been) but one thing it isn't, is a charity. Sorry but prices are what they are and we're certainly not ahead of the curve in anyway.

Luton aren’t as prominent since they put the cameras on the other side of the pitch you can still see the away fans but not as clear as previous seasons

Spot on pal.

City isn't a cult or a dictatorship where followers blindly worship the leader.

A few obtuse contributors to this thread don't seem to understand that fans can love the club without agreeing with or liking every single thing the club does.

The club hierarchy aren't out to fuck the supporters over either. The key is balance, isn't it?

Our ticket prices are reasonable, there I said it, and I'm not well off but I am a season ticket holder. I am also eternally greatful to Sheikh Mansour and his team who have made us the best team on the planet (possibly ever) and appreciate that there is a price to pay for success.
