Another brilliant sequence - am loving the nosey shots into the hotel rooms and down the stair shaft and office block shafts!

Those will be temporary site offices for the workers / project managers. They'll be gone when the jobs over.

That’s the 2nd Sachas hotel in Manchester, which is going to be run by Britannia hotels.

They were in a different location, and are now mostly gone. There was a bit of an overlap and reuse. These are for the NS build only.

It’s really starting to take shape and looks really imposing walking up Joe Mercer way. Thanks for all the contributions keeping us upto date. Apologies if already discussed but has anyone got any pictures of how the corners will look externally once completed? I’m struggling to imagine when I see it in person how old will join and meet with new with what I assume will be a new section of roof in those corner sections specifically.

Good idea that, seeing it with nobody there and a few dramatic alternative angles.

The white paint you mentioned on the steel, will most likely be the intumescent to cover the junctions, and will then probably be painted basic grey over it when it dries to match the rest. Most of it comes pre coated from the factory, but will still need touched up on site to cover all.

I was a bit surprised with my mate’s advice. I certainly think the construction workers deserve a few days off. It’s been shite weather too.

They're on big bucks like oil rigs.

You really get a sense of how far back the back of the 2nd tier is from the pitch in that picture.

I hope City allow the fans to have a look around the stand before City fans apply to relocate there.
