Watched SS's video from yesterday, zooms in to the mock-up up at the very end. Bloody hell the efflorescence on that brick, not a good sign if that's the state of it only a couple months in.

Efflorescence in brick ( salts coming out of the clay) is not a massive problem as it can easily be brushed off ( not washed as it dissolves and soaks into the brick to reappear again) and once cleared very rarely appears again . It is however bleeding unsightly ,the bricks choosen can easily be changed at this point before laying commences and a harder wire cut/ stock brick is preferable but will not have the same look !

Have you found it to rarely appear again once washed off? I've seen it reappear often, but how well it was 'brushed' off, who knows.

Part 2

Etihad Stadium Expansion 10th March part 2 - Manchester City FC- The Cap is Finally Fitted

Wow, good timing being there but even though I knew it was now in place I felt tense until the end. Them lot'll be queuing up for the loo when they come down.

It looked like there's only room for an eighth of a turn tightening up the bolts as well, they'll be there for a week to do the rest if they can't get air driven tools in. At least there's only one other cap to do.
