Once the hotel is open Im sure there will be fine dinning in there, maybe even a branch of Tast and more Manchester restraunts invited in
There are also some high-line suites in the hotel and private boxes VIP seats in the Arena

Seriously it would be great for the city and region but spending what they did on the London Stadium to build it for athletics then turn it into a football stadium wouldn't be allowed by the government on a stadium in the north. I over look the area and it's not that big a footprint from looking at Trafford council's plans and not sure what they could put there apart from more apartments and offices which Manchester (Holt Town) and Salford are way ahead on - we will no doubt do our collar site before them so what could they put there of any significance? And look how long it took Stratford and Wembley to get to where they are now.

The council is to extend its masterplan around Old Trafford to take in several major new development sites as it looks to pursue a potential CPO of the former B&Q site next to the cricket ground.

And there's a project ongoing in Athens which is over 10 times the size of that area, just to rebuff the "largest regeneration in Europe" label. Although for a club that thinks it's the biggest in the world I guess chatting shit is to be expected.

Hate to say it, but man that's disappointing, re the sails. Face fixed all over, not even edge finished. And a great potential whistle gap too, if that's how they will be fixed. Maybe some might have a lighting strip inbetween the two panels fixed together, the way that edge is left.
Wonder if they might build the brick (for the sample only) the conventional way, if the bottom setting out is anything to go by.

Can I ask what is causing your disappointment? Could this not just be a stage in their construction as you say?
Don't think so, not for that part of it. If I thought that I would have held off saying anything, believe me.
My own opinion of course.
Nope, rivals over 800 and 1500m for a few years.
