Led wrap them, moving adverts, would look really good and another cash generator.
The local residents would object.

Yeah, but we're a middle eastern authoritarian regime, so the pesky local residents will get what they're given and be grateful for what they've got, and if that includes LED wrapped spirals, then so be it, Inshallah...The local residents would object.
I don’t see any issue with them, I have been bringing a 76 year old Hearts supporter to matches recently and he absolutely loves the Spiral entrance. As an older supporter he finds them a welcome change to steps. Me personally I think they look great especially at night matches. On my way into the ground on Saturday I heard a couple of Spurs fans taking the piss out of the spiral staircase entrances. Personally I love the design of the Etihad, but it did get me thinking, from an objective point of view could the spirals be improved upon?
They didn't age very well and quickly became dirty and weatherbeaten. The club did something about that by putting banners up over them, which I can understand some may think looks a bit cheap or naff.
Interested in other people's thoughts and any potential constructive ideas for how might get them up to the standard of the rest of the ground?

I prefer the spirals to the bog standard staircase me and another 3,000 people have to walk down at M1.I don’t see any issue with them, I have been bringing a 76 year old Hearts supporter to matches recently and he absolutely loves the Spiral entrance. Easier on the foc knees!!Tbf it takes about twice as long to walk down the spirals from level 3 as it does those staircases.
For mass crowd evacuation the spirals are more efficient and much safer than stairsI prefer the spirals to the bog standard staircase me and another 3,000 people have to walk down at M1.
I would have said to them you can take the piss all you like but I’ve see City win more PL titles here than you will ever see at your NFL stadium with or without spiralsOn my way into the ground on Saturday I heard a couple of Spurs fans taking the piss out of the spiral staircase entrances.
