Get a couple of those roof beams in and bit of tarpaulin a few scatter cushions and fans can sit in new stand no bother.
Shame they took longer than the battery life, but I guess it is better to get the supports in place than rush itGenuinely wondering if the roof will only be supported (temporarily) by the props on the old roof. The preparation work there really does look to be quite substantial but then I just can’t envisage the old roof taking that huge amount of weight without additional support further up the new terracing.
Even more impressive when you see them up close and personalthat is a f**king enormous piece of steel!
I think it will be both, myself. Point of contact at the old roof onto the props below, and then also further back at the terrace. I made that guess a couple weeks ago so am now sticking to it ;)Genuinely wondering if the roof will only be supported (temporarily) by the props on the old roof. I wonder if any of these roof sections will be in place by Saturday’s game?
You haven’t been keeping up, lots of storms before Christmas etcThought this was to be ready for next season or is it 2026
As far as I'm aware the old roof is supported temporarily from underneath using the props. These aren't actually doing anything at all at the moment as the old roof is still supported by the cable net which was transferred to the new towers.
Those prop supports look to be in the exact place where the yellow temporary structure is being added to the roof so are solely for supporting the new roof through the old roof. I could be wrong on that but it certainly looks to be the case.

And a lot of terracing still to put down.Still quite a bit of prep work to do yet.

Chips? It'll be polenta fries with a chorizo and olive gravy for the tourists mate. One design feature that I sincerely hope has been included throughout are backup/reversionary kitchens and deep fat fryers. It should be almost impossible to run out of chips. Unlike the South Stand where the chip supply is about as stable as our back 4 after 70 mins play.
Jeeezus ! it's come a long way. Sadly, I can remember when only 3 items were on the matchday menu. Seriously stewed tea (20p), super heated bovril (20p) that would still cause 2nd degree burns on your tongue 30 mins after purchase, and Holland's allegedly "meat' pies (50p)...Chips? And don't forget a haircut as well with thatChips? It'll be polenta fries with a chorizo and olive gravy for the tourists mate.
