Why aren’t the claws symmetrical?
That would be boringWhy aren’t the claws symmetrical?
The hotel is a no brainer, ignore him...Good point but I suppose you could also factor in that some people will likely stay more than one night for their visit to the city. Also in the case of matches, and I suppose concerts too, there might be a two day effect as well (some staying over the night before the game, whilst others might stay the night after the game). All adds up and gets you closer to being busy over the 200 day mark.
Just enjoy the ride & let City worry about costs.I am aware of that. The Raddison Edwardian is a 5 star hotel in the Free Trade Hall. It's post-Covid profits were £737k. So if City have some arrangement with Raddison to operate the hotel, I don't think it will be as lucrative a some people think.
Ach I'm not worried. We'll just cook the books and make it look like it is.I am aware of that. The Raddison Edwardian is a 5 star hotel in the Free Trade Hall. It's post-Covid profits were £737k. I don’t think they will ever put retractable seats in over the service tunnel as it will need to stay open for ambulances/emergencies.62k is the ideal size for us to grow with for the foreseeable future.
It'll be a long time before any further major expansion is considered and they'll probably look at doing relatively minor alterations before that - such as bringing the additional front 3 rows back or adding retractable seats over the service tunnel.
It is a no-brainer for the fans, I completely agree. I am very glad it's getting built because it will improve our match-day and the facilities at the club. I don't think the hotel will be hugely profitable to City, but it should be safe if we are contracting an operator to run it for us, although the commercial arrangements will presumably be undisclosed. At £300m it will take decades for Sheikh Mansour to recover the outlay but of course the capital value of the club will go up. After a day's distraction on the business of hotels, let's just consider this as a construction project. Back on-topic.The hotel is a no brainer, ignore him...
You know the £300m isn’t the cost of the hotel, and the hotel alone does not pay off the 300m investment. It is a no-brainer for the fans, I completely agree. And the different width, height of the screens, podium height, amount of overhang, and cladding above and below the roof junction. Plus one has an additional leg. They pretty much are, are they not besides the double height terrace on the presidential suite?

Here is the South Stand simulation construction video briefly towards the end you can see the old roof being removed from pitch side100% they need cranes on the pitch to remove it...

Sorry but when /where was our capacity 40 k ??Folk used to say that at 40K!
So the 2 screens at the ends of the “claw” are different sizes ??And the different width, height of the screens, podium height, amount of overhang, and cladding above and below the roof junction. Plus one has an additional leg.
That wasn't the point, it was that many used to suggest we wouldn't need more than that! Was often said the new ground would be too big when we were at Maine Road. Then we had we don't neeed the South Stand extensions voices! True there ulitmately be a threshold that we won't go beyond but with each expansion the match date gates have risen to be at over 97% of capcacity.Sorry but when /where was our capacity 40 k ??
Yes, but besides that what have the Romans ever done for us?And the different width, height of the screens, podium height, amount of overhang, and cladding above and below the roof junction. Plus one has an additional leg.
