North Stand Construction Discussion

Fair enough. But I'd have argued the toss that I read somewhere, around the start of the work, that the aim was for it to be ready for the first game of next season.
Honestly, haven't seen that or don't remember seeing it. And I have been following this one in a fair bit of detail, as much as available in public.

Perhaps it may have in the wording, something like 'the season of' rather than 'the start of the season of'. But any information the club or sisk have put out including information for approvals snd local authorities, has always had the end of this year/start of next for the stand.

It was certainly reported by some outlets at the time, including Place North West, [following Clubs Feb 2023 announcement], that North Stand Extension would be "completed by August 2025", with Hotel completing in 2026. However,
[as above], I don't recall any official statement?

Still blows my mind thatbat least two entire floors of the office/commercial building, even as a musum, won't have a single clear window with natural light and views on any side of them.

The only possible place left now is the small area of a few panels behind the mast climber. Othersise, those floors are completely windowless.

Is it not the next one along though that looked not in line with the rest?

Unless it is part of the circle shape for the platform

I think it is now looking pretty clear from the latest videos that the purlin previously discussed on here is not back to front.

While it's nib doesn't align with the others, it does form the first circle platform with the others around it.

Here are some close-ups of the off-site practice production bracketry for the sails.

And here are some of the practice sail fixing connection, early sail mock-ups, and the honeycomb (manc bee reference) perforated louvered panels.

'Extreme close-up, woah!'

My look around today, surprisingly hardly anyone on site compared to ssskies earlier video. 3rd crane for on the pitch stuck in the car park

3rd crane!

They must be behind? 3 cranes will take the current roof apart of no time.

How long have they got left before the cranes and protective pitch covering have to be removed before the pitch can be relayed for next season?

If it is the same as Anfield then they need 4-6 weeks, once the pitch is cleared it only takes about a week for it to be re-laid, the rest of the time is for it to bed in etc

Season kicks off 16 August we will play away first game so 6 weeks before is 12 July so got over a month on the pitch before the grounds team need it back

Bit of a difference with our pitch compared to Liverpool. Ours is a seeded job which threads into the artificial fibres. Liverpool use a hybrid pitch but it was actually laid like you would do with turf in your own garden.

Ours will take slightly longer to be fit for play. The upper end of 6 weeks will be needed.

I don’t recall the previous museum having windows with natural light.
