3rd crane!

They must be behind? 3 cranes will take the current roof apart of no time.

How long have they got left before the cranes and protective pitch covering have to be removed before the pitch can be relayed for next season?
I work for the same company though drive a slightly smaller crane and was a bit gutted when told it was a 750 going in there, my mate on the crane has sent me a few vids and said they are in there for 3 weeks or so, lifting steel in and taking roof sections out

Thanks for the snippet, Stonie.

They are disconnecting the beams from the cable supports at the bottom connection, leaving the two rods attached to the cable. So they will need to go back round and tidy that all up and disconnect the tops too. I would have thought it easier to bring the rods down with the coupled bay. But then I guess they still need to go back round and make good, so maybe ther is efficiency in just getting it down and dealing with disconnecting the rest and making good in one pass.

Off topic, but hotel related.

Manchester is now getting the top hotel brands.

InterContinental Hotel is coming to Manchester to replace the Hilton Hotel at Beetham tower. The Hotel will be refurnished

Beetham would be the fourth UK InterContinental. Two of the other three are in London with another in Edinburgh.

There's plenty of good quality Hotel competition for the Medlock.

That's where John Wick stays, apparently.

Are we sure the building on the access road is for the sprinkler system ?? With all that polished steel it looks like a micro brewery !;-)
Ha yeah. Be interesting to see if they leave it like that or clad around it. It is indeed the sprinkler/plant housing and storage. But there is literally no detail in the approval or the conditions as to what it will actually look like. It seems to have sailed in there under the radar somewhat.

We could brew blue moon beer ! Oh bugger somebody already does ! Damn !;-)

When will the first full accounting year be with all the stadium developments complete and up and running? Be really interesting to see how much this is all going to bring into the club.
UTFB!

I think it will only be when the 2027/8 season’s accounts are published will we see any clues. It probably needs to be completed for 3-5 years before the full benefit is clear.

Not sure it does. Not for whatever version of ffp/psr is in palce by then.

In real terms, yeah you are right, it will take a number of years for the investment to pay for itself. But in accounting terms, as infrastructure investment is excluded, the profit will appear on the books for that repevant year when it starts.

(I think)
