West Stand?
Just call it the Colin Bell
Just call it the Colin Bell
Video from this morning. Have a good day folks
My season ticket seat used to be in one of the seats that was added, and then taken away, hence the discussion above was interesting to me. If the photos are of no interest to you, you can ignore them.
Yes, it's me. My Mum died and that was difficult but I returned when I felt better. I appreciate your comment. You're definitely the original 'Marvin' aren't you? He always said he sat in those seats.
I remember you disappeared for ages. Good to see you back anyway.
Will do my best, it’s more keeping the drone in sight than signal capability.@ssskies @cpoverview On you next visit would it be possible now that all the pitch side cranes have gone, within the liitation of the drone signal, to get a full sight of the new stand terracing to give us an idea of how it will look once complete? Thats the “money shot” Thanks
Hang it in the Louvre!Slightly off topic and nerdy but on iOS 26 you can have a clock in perspective to what’s going on in the wallpaper .
So I have set it with a north stand construction pic and it makes it look like the clock is in suspension in between the towers
I will be surprised if they have not already started today and completed over the weekendIt'll be interesting to see how much longer the protective sheeting will be left on the pitch, now that nearly all the heavy plant has gone away. A couple of
They can obviously start removal of the covering but they will need to remove the 3 temporary platforms and the cherry pickers I would assume ???I will be surprised if they have not already started today and completed over the weekend
You could ask the crane driver if you can go up there and then land the drone on the pitch. ;PWill do my best, it’s more keeping the drone in sight than signal capability.
Since Mr drone got done for it I have been a bit more cautious
One of the temporary stands on the terracing has already been removed (somehow)They can obviously start removal of the covering but they will need to remove the 3 temporary platforms and the cherry pickers I would assume ???
One of the platforms with the red cherry picker? One of the temporary stands on the terracing has already been removed (somehow)
I think that is why there is still a gap in the new roof, to lift the cherry pickers and platforms out now the pitch cranes have gone. This has been great drone footage, credit to CP and SS and others who have provided ground-level photos. And particularly the construction workers, amazing feats of design, engineering, skills, and a severe lack of vertigo. One of the platforms with the red cherry picker?
I thought they would be the last jobs for the pitch cranes but still there after they left
No problem jrb, I'd love to do a tour of the etihad, might just be a couple of weeks off though yet for me. It's impressive outside, be interesting to see the inside. And yes the trophy cabinet will be bigger than Everton's but nice to see all the sameThanks for going this morning, mate.
The sheeting protecting the pitch won't take long to come off. Once they are up I'll go on the tour. Hopefully by the end of next week?
I will check it out Gordyola and see what I can see. Cheers@ssskies @cpoverview On you next visit would it be possible now that all the pitch side cranes have gone, within the liitation of the drone signal, to get a full sight of the new stand terracing to give us an idea of how it will look once complete? Yeah saw the gap but wondered how they get off the platform and under the gap maybe they have some articulation on the wheelsI think that is why there is still a gap in the new roof, to lift the cherry pickers and platforms out now the pitch cranes have gone.
