North Stand Construction Discussion

So, when's this hybrid pitch re laying starting. The one I was shouted down over? Like I said, it's plain grass that's going down. This seems like nothing important other than the fact we've played on hybrid for years now and if we get a bad winter! Gulp!!!!

In reality they’ll install 3000 safe standing seats and then the rest will be normal seats.

They’ll then be like ‘oh shit, we’ve already gone to the trouble of installing all the new seats and we forgot to ask who was interested in a bigger safe standing section first”.

Like, imagine how poorly prepared it would look if they immediately ripped out a couple of thousand new seats for a bigger safe standing section.
I get what you are saying, but could also easily spin it to 'we listened, the demand was outstanding, the stand is a huge success'

Not having a go at you mate.

That isn't funny.

A person doing that isn't right, regardless if he did it by himself, or if he was told to do it.

I hope City and SISK look into this and find out what went on.
What did I miss?

That proves the roof is wonky.

The apex is where the 5th bay from the left meets the 6th bay from the right.

The 6th bay from either side (middle bay) should be horizontal and it definitely isn't.
I heard it mentioned in the video too, looks to be an issue and wonder if the company hears that comment and indeed reads the expert views on here. Are you chaps in the know all agreed about an apparent fault?

It is aesthetically not kosher - it bloody does not look right.

A worker at 5.30 into the video looked like he was sweeping the new terrace with a paint brush. Doubt he was though and there was a reason for what he was doing.
I haven't had the time to watch the latest videos, I am about a week behind. Other than the stills posted here.

I think there is an element of truth to it, and those that have pointed it out aren't being daft.

The photos from the air at an angle make it worse than it maybe is, combined with the netting draping more over one side than the other, the curve against the straight creates a bit of a depth discrepancy.

Looking at it from the pitchside, the image a page or two back, it looks far more even. But even then, you can see it in the protective railing on top, which should be paralel. There is a dip in it at that eastern middle beam, which does suggest one of the two is either too high or top low.

Lots of time left in the build, but at this point more likely to be a packer job than any adjusting, as previously commented.
