North Stand Construction Discussion

If there is a problem could it not be perhaps due to an imbalance in load from the stored items up there?
If the stored items are creating an imbalance that would suggest that the roof components are not fixed in place which is unlikely, we have seen numerous occasions on the drone videos of them bolting the purlins in place. Looks like insulation and more cladding which wont be very heavy and will be part of the roof
Plus factor in the weight of the structural piece to go on top for the Sky walk which will surely align all pieces as they will need to connect to different trusses
The purlins are already bolted into place so I somewhat doubt that further additions will align things

Hotel looking pretty decent where it’s close to finished on the outside. I wonder whether it needs the sails.

Just feel it looks a little out. The main support steel cables look a little out from a structural point of view, the support towers look a bit skew whiff. But maybe it's something to do with the original system that circles the stadium on a ring of high tensile cabling. I like the way they've designed the aesthetics of the roof itself, on the eye,it doesn't look too far away from the South Stand, despite being bigger. But then the shape of the gables behind the new stand that create the entrance to the 'fan zone' with the screens on, they look out of kilter. The angles look out. People like structures to ballance on the eye. But I'm sure it'll work out right.

So, when's this hybrid pitch re laying starting. The one I was shouted down over? Like I said, it's plain grass that's going down. This seems like nothing important other than the fact we've played on hybrid for years now and if we get a bad winter! Gulp!!!!
Regardless of whether the pitch is reseeded or whether it is relaid in rolls, the pitch will still be a hybrid pitch. The fibres are threaded into the soil and the grass roots almost attach to them as they grow deeper into the soil. Essentially, it strengthens the root zone and gives greater resistance to any wear and tear.

City have always chosen to reseed and there is still time for that to be done. But if they have chosen to use the laying option instead, there will be no ill effects on the pitch during the winter as the same process of attachment to the root still happens. It's just that the pitch will be playable in far less time than if they were to seed it.

Liverpool use the laying turf method. Infact, theirs is being done or has just been finished now following their concerts. They use that method every year and it doesn't affect the quality of their surface

Some of the slopes are already at 26° in order to get up there, would you notice? You'll be able to rock climb the outside of the west core and abseil back down after the tour as it is. It is not disabled friendly :)
Tremendous. Shame about the disabled unfriendliness though. Maybe a rope and harness would help

If there’s a function on CP Overview or SSskies drone that automatically puts the camera shot at horizontal - and they can line up exactly above the centre spot - then we could put the argument to bed re the wonky roof beams?
