If either of you are doing another drone video this week, can either of you please zoom in close enough to see if the fencing around the perimeter of the pitch, next to the players tunnel, down the side of the CBS towards the North stand, has been completely removed. Thanks
If it has I will do the tour on Saturday or Sunday depending on the weather, which I will keep an eye on over the coming days.
If anyone has any specific requests, pictures or a video, please let me know and I will try and do it, depending on where the tour guide takes us, and where we go inside the Etihad.
It is etfe rather than glazing (for wider thread benefit, not being pedantic), but I would guess a while yet. Last I saw western side still has work to do to the cladding around the connection points, and there is a tower climber there. I would imagine they would want to get the cladding onto the face of the stand up as well before starting the roof steelwork. Also might depend whether the brickwork gets done manually like at the back or whether at the front they stick with pre-cast panels as intended, in which case probably after that too for the maneuvering room. When do we think the steel work for the glazing to cover city square will start?
Given they have now taken that crane down
I think it will be one of the last phases of the project, as they need to get the hotel and office block finished beforehand to let the big cranes and cherrypickers do their work. My guess is the new City Square won’t be finished until early 2027. There is still a lot of lifting needed for the skybar, the luxury suites and the roof walk, and the new City square fanzone is a useful storage area. When do we think the steel work for the glazing to cover city square will start?

Sorry John , only read this after I had just visited, but there were people on a tour stood at the players tunnel entrance.PS. Just read the above. :-)

That will be today !just wait until the sails are installed…
It wouldn't surprise me if they bought a mobile crane in for City square. I think the big crane's will be long gone by the time they are fitted. When do we think the steel work for the glazing to cover city square will start?

Todays video , and we have sails to distract us from the wonky roof!
Waiting to find out whether we need a Premier League standard pitch, or a North West Counties one probably.Great video! I never thought the roof was wonky, but can’t understand why the ground-staff aren’t working around the clock to get the pitch ready.

No, it will be a straight vertical connection like a wall rather than a roofIs the sides going to connect up like the opposite side?
