North Stand Construction Discussion

Its not. SS3 added around 6k seats
Yep, 7,910 added for the north stand, 6,250 added to the south stand, They also added 1,500 around the pitch when the south stand was done but then subsequently removed.
You three are right by the looks of it.

The south stand approval included additional seats in the corners as well, and increases elsewhere eound the pitch, so the overall number is greater, 8k ish.

But the stand itself is 6250 - (6750 in the bbc article of the time), so the north stand is in reality bigger than the south stand.

The south stand added more than the north did, if they had replicated the 3 tier stand they would have got more in than the 2 tier arrangement. That I did remember from the application and previous discussions.

Whether that directly translates to more overall though (because more may have been retained in this way), I'd need to check.

Nope.

Well yes, but just not all in the stand itself.

But I have since clarified that and assume you responded before reading it.

In simplest terms, north stand bigger than south stand. I had overcomplicated it.

I see, as was mentioned on here a while back that the tiers have been re-numbered. I have a ticket for the Burnley game, in the second tier, but it's designated as block 101. Yes; like the room!

As part of the opening event and fans being invited to have a look around the new North stand before if officially opens, Otis lift representatives will be on hand for anyone who has any questions about Otis lifts. ;-)

Do we know if Otis have definitely got the lift contract? I'm more of a Schindler man myself.
