North Stand Construction Discussion

Weren’t the sails supposed to have a ripple effect. They are just all lined up equally to my eye.
If you look at the joins they are at different heights so it’s crucial that each section gets put in the place it was designed to be. There’s definitely a wave pattern emerging.

Neither of the two remaining cranes impact the structure with piled foundations straight into the ground so no “gaps “ to fill ???
I was presuming they meant the space between the hotel and the stand itself, but perhaps you're right.

If they do mean what the space between looks like, then this is the only image I've seen.

Does anyone know/guess how they will control access to the fanzone to keep out away fans? If there’s no physical barrier can see it getting a bit spicy for certain games!
For most Old City Sq was open access apart from the bars serving alcohol which had controlled access The new City Square has F&B in the lower ground floor of the hotel and maybe they will control access to that Im sure they will be able to erect barriers to control access both front and back if necessary but there is no indication on the Design Statement

Good old Street Crane, I've done work for them many times.
Do they make their own hoist units and end carriages now, I know they just used to make the bridge beams and crabs but bought the rest in. They seem now to have the light EOTC market tied up.

They tend to make it all in kit form nowadays, not sure if they get involved in putting it back together anymore - I work for a company that make their electrical control panels that get shipped with the kit.
They were involved in the Wembley retracting roof.

If City can't stop away fans getting in all over the ground after buying home tickets on ticket touting websites, via the OS with Citizen cards, and off ticket touts outside the ground, City aren't going to stop away fans from getting into the City fan zone. Whether you are bothered or not there will be away fans in the new 2nd tier home end. It's up to them to stay quiet or to celebrate a goal. With more tickets to sell, especially for the lesser games, there will be a better chance for away fans of getting a match ticket, especially in the CL games.
