Ricky was a lover of Guinness by all accounts.

We must now be at the point where the majority of work is internal. How can we follow that? Perhaps there will be some more updates from mancity.com.

Good luck with the latter given their coverage so far.

There's still a few landmarks externally, completion of the sails, the 3 big screens & the roof to City Square for starters.

I don’t know why, and perhaps it really doesn’t, but the grey side of the new North stand reminds me of a Tesla truck.

With recent events, should the new end be named after a blue legend. .. Ricky Hatton.

No; absolutely not. And that's no disrespect to Ricky. He was a "massive" blue, but let's be honest here; he had no bigger connection to the club than many on here. If they're going to name the "new" (more expanded than new, if you're being pedantic) stand, then name it after Aguero. Or Mercer. Or Pep, if you don't believe in someone having to leave the club before having such an honour bestowed on him.

I think that was the original schedule. Not sure it'll be met, though. Maybe Easter time? No indication how the fitting out of the interior (bars, catering, toilets, executive boxes etc) is progressing?

The opening of the stand has been moved back.

I think it’s March or later now.

That’s the rumour.

I stand corrected on that.

You might be right, but the workers can work around matches and during the international breaks.

I can’t think of any other reason why so much scaffolding is needed in that specific and final empty corner.

Just needs a metal brush and some brick acid , would deffo have looked better with a contemporary coloured mortar rather than black :-)

Looks like they're going to fit the old style turnstiles and charge you 2/6d.

I honestly thought that truck was a joke when I first saw one, still can't quite get my head around the fact that it was designed like that on purpose and some idiots actually bought one.
