Could be for extended TV and press seats for the tournament similar to chumps league matches ??

I think you've got that spot on 100%, just look at any CL game (especially the big clubs/games) and there's huge blocks of them.

I was up on Row 1 of SSL2 (top/third tier) last night. The new stand looks great from over there. Never seen it from that perspective live before.

It is still SSL3 it hasn't changed.

Level 2 is the boxes.

Watched BVB game on TNT and the camera panned over to it at pitch level and it does look the dogs bollox.

Great angle. Once the hoarding is away that really will feel like one big, dare I say it, blue wall.
