North Stand Construction Discussion

Everyone has a right to do what they want mate but so does the club in a sense? Loyalty should always be rewarded but many on here turn up for the game and then go and eat and drink elsewhere which is absolutely no use to the club? They need to get pricing right of course but in all stadiums, venues, airports etc beer and food prices are always higher but thats nothing new?
Society has changed, the days of a ticket, bovril and balti pie are coming to an end, seems like some on here can't or won't accept that.

A lot of people want a seat and private bar or area to get a meal, does that make them a worse fan?

And as said before, we are becoming a huge , global powerhouse of a club and dare I say brand, that comes with change and again the FOC's need to accept that.

And how do you know that Live Football (or whoever) don't have many, many people employed to buy tickets off the exchange to put on their website at a huge markup? I'm still waiting for this proof that the club themselves are selling directly to them? Perhaps this is why they need a ticket compliance officer rather than to harass single individuals as some claim?
He gave his ticket back to the club, he then finds out ,it has been sold on the Live football site.
He complained to City, they fobbed him off.
At the very least,City would know, who bought that ticket ,that he had put back on the official exchange and enquire of that person, how it had ended up on Live football.

Who’s said that or posted that?

Most people have genuine questions about ticket distribution and wondering why so many tickets are ending up on ticket sites. Not just accepting things or having questions is pretty normal in the ‘real world’.
The tickets end up in the hands of the people that want them and who have the most influence at the club, Sponsors, players, execs, staff etc and the loyal fans last.

Again this was always the case, but pre takeover we had a handful of games where tickets were in huge demand.

The '81 Cup Final, Play off Final two examples of tickets going missing and hard for the loyal fans to get, we all know where they went and that won't change.

I got my Gillingham tickets from a ex player, best seats in the house at a premium, that sadly is life.

The part that people seem to be missing is that the club will know who they sold it to. It would have had to have been a qualifying Cityzens member meeting whatever criteria they had in place at that time. It would have been very simple for them to tell you in the call that it was sold to such a person and that they clearly had sold it on. They then would have been able to ban that supporter from obtaining further tickets.

The only other possibility is that the club sold it to Live Football Tickets but they couldn't tell you that.

On the balance of probabilities....
How easy is it to set up a 'burner' Cityzens (urgh) membership nowadays? £35 fee plus £75 ticket, so any sales over £110 and it's a profit. Plus as long as you're not found out you can keep using that membership. Probably difficult to do much if they're overseas.

Absolutely mate, first game 1975, you have to accept the game has moved on, and for the better, if we were shit we wouldn't have tourists, one person on here said yesterday he wish we were back in the old days...really ???

Some people can't accept it
We used to laugh at the rags with coaches from all over England in the car park and half of Ireland descending on the swamp, we are now the same and fan bases come from all parts of planet earth.

The world is a small place and people from the furthest parts are happy to pay huge sums to experience a PL/Champions league game.

Very true but surely the club could have said that it was sold to a qualifying supporter who had then clearly sold it on. It seems like there was just bluster and bullshit on the call which would make anyone suspicious.
