I'm normally fairly pessimistic at the best of times, but can see us winning this one. Their priority is to avoid relegation, so think they'll rest a lot of players with one eye on the trip to Stoke.

I imagine we'll rotate heavily too, but our reserves should be better than theirs. Hopefully a few players will have a point to prove, and the team needs freshening up.

I'd go:

Caballero
Zabaleta
Otamendi
Demichelis
Clichy
Fernando
Delph
Navas
Sterling
Iheanacho
Bony

Need to be better organised especially when we don't have the ball and lift the work rate and intensity of our play if we are to come away with a win.

High time we started to click on a game by game basis.

If the players have lost interest in MP's message and tactics then they need shipping out as its same old same old irrespective of the manager.

It won't be a lot better even if Pep arrives with this squad unless they start to care about losing as much as successful players and teams do.

Its a feeling real professionals ensure happens as little as possible and 8 defeats already this season along with some really insipid efforts tells me this group isn't good enough for where we need to be.

Ric after tonight's performance and certain previous games especially away from home, regardless who plays it will be high tempo 20 odd mins then drop off, concede a goal then feel sorry for ourselves and huff and puff till the final whistle, something is drastically wrong. Is it the pep rumours, certain players lack of hunger/desire or a combination of both added with other factors.I know the injury situation hasn't helped but at the moment we are playing crap.Still hope we can get the win as the last thing we would want is a replay..

Change it up. Thing is though, here's where a good manager earns his corn. Tell these players they aren't the b squad cos the other guys need a rest, tell them you're not happy and they are playing for a place against Everton next week. If they do well, be true to your word. There should be no certainties for starting spots.....beyond hart that is. Sorry willy.

Caballero
Zabba ottamendi demichelis Clichy
Fernando. Delph
Navas. De Bruyne. Sterling
kelechi

Just saw Rics post, same team almost. If bony is fit I'd go the same and drop de Bruyne and go 442.

Not at all confident, players look uninspired and with our very dodgy defense I can see Norwich winning this possibly 0-2.

It really is disappointing we lack confidence and are playing poorly especially away from home this season.

I share your concerns and really don't know if the side is capable of lifting their game for the remainder of the season.

I appreciate we are still in 4 competitions but we look no better than just treading water and its been that way for sometime now.

So far at least this season has been of a lower standard than last season was.

Definitely gone backwards this season.

Fear the worst after Pelle's FA Cup record with us.

First season: City-Wigan loss at home to the Championship side in first round.
Second season: City-Middlesborough loss at home to the Championship side in second round just after we did a very late comeback beating Wednesday at home.

So basically this will be our first away game with Pelle in Fa Cup and first against a Premier League side.

It will be all about a gameplan, being patient but working very hard, pressing them and closing them down. Just like it should have been done against Wigan two years ago or Boro last season.

With the same man in charge playing the same way every away game despite it not working, there is nothing to suggest this one will be any different. The way we treated this cup last year was a disgrace and so when combined with the above it wouldnt surprise me at all if we lose.

Not confident at all with this one.

There needs to be a result either way on the day, as we don't want a replay to add to all the other fixtures.
