I'd be careful mate, Jimmy Hill got in a right load of crap for saying similar on MOTD many years ago ;-).

I remember that - wasn't it the dippers against blackburn in the FA Cup late 80s/early 90s? Blackburn were down in (what's now) the Championship and were leading Liverpool with a few minutes to go. Liverpool scored an equalizer because a Rovers ballboy gave the ball really quickly to a Dipper player at a throw-in. That the right game?

one ball boy is a rag for sure, he was on the corner of the colin bell/ south stand, he whilst at 0-0 assisted norwich with their timewasting he
walked to the ball dead slow then dropped as players do when they leave a throw in for a team mate, the goal then strolled over to it with all the time in the world.

Did anyone else notice that the blame for thier goal today should lie with hte ball boy.
When the corner was given he ran with the ball to put it in the right place for it to be taken straight away - which it was as we wern't set up to defend it and they scored from it

Correct. The ball boys aren't employed to delay play until the players are ready, it's the players who have to be on top of that.

Can't believe someone's started a thread attacking ball boys for having the gall to retrieve the ball and put it back into play. I thought he was kidding to start with and found it quite funny. Now I see he's "deadly serious"?
