Maybe I am getting very very old but I can clearly remember when that was the starting time for most weekend games. Said before the last game Pep has to go with those that have had a full pre season otherwise they may aswell not be here, it was the correct call but a defeat changes all that now.

I'm assuming gundogan is out for this and kdb isn't ready to start.

Stones and laporte are our best two ball players in defence, we shouldn't need Dias' superior defensive attributes, if gundo was fit, he would come in, Grealish on the left sterling on the bench, if both he and kdb were fit gundo in the 6 instead of Fernandinho with Bernardo and kdb infront.

Be good if we played with intent for a change and not just a keep ball session.

I don’t care what the score is tbh. Start with our best defence to keep us solid until we sort out the forwards.

That doesn’t include Mendy or Ake pep. Thx

Utterly crazy that we are going g into the second game of the season without a true striker. Jesus wants out, Laporte wants out and Bernardo does and we are at levy’s beck and call until we throw 150m at a 28 year old?!! Seems poor to me.
 
Really buzzing to be going back to watch City since Feb last year, but also to see all the lads around me who I know, but don't really know.

The training session on youtube was interesting to watch.

3v3 attacker session.

Grealish, Jesus and Mahrez VS Edozie, Sterling and Ferran -> Foden probably takes Edozie's spot when fit, those are then our 6 "forwards" (7 if Kane comes).

Midfield session also included Lavia, McAtee, Palmer and Doyle. Probably consistent with what Pep wants that Palmer was involved here and not in the "forward session", although it's possible it was full once it was 3v3 and Palmer had to do the midfield session.
 
It would be good for us if Jesus started at centre-forward and scored. Imagine your in his position and you see your club trying to buy a 28 year old Kane just as Jesus might have though he was to inherit Aguero's shirt. Will Pep start jesus or will that put too much pressure on him?

Most City fans this time last season had written Stones off and he was one of our best players. I hope Jesus has a similar season for City.

Only differences I'd not raise an eyebrow to would be Dinho for Rodri or Delap (lol I know) for Jesus. Obviously if kdb is fit he goes right the fuck in for Gundo.

Well Thursday AM 24 hours until we set off for the game.
Cannot wait to see friends and have a beer again with fellow blues.
it's been a long stretch without the match day experience.
Dreading the queues but can live with that.

If KDB is fit he goes in for Grealish. We need Gundogan to score goals, our forwards sure as fuck can't.

1451 tickets on sale on the system as we speak. Poor that we cant fill it and the capacity will already be down about 1800 due to the ridiculous scoreboard height. Can see crowd being about 50,000.
