Norwich v City Pre Match Thread

Huge game today. In theory we should thrash Norwich who are in poor form and we beat them 7-0 earlier on in the season however today is a big test of our mental character. We were outplayed by a very impressive Chelsea team on Monday but great teams bounce back straight away. This is the first game in a decent run of league fixtures for us and we cannot afford to drop points here. We need a big performance from all the players so we can send a message to the other teams that our defeat on Monday hasn't knocked us off our stride.

We were not outplayed by Chelsea. We had more possession and more shots, but they looked much more like scoring playing on the counter

A test of the squad depth and the wind will equalise the game

Don't get all this anti Dzeko shit at all he's popped up with some game turning goals this season 19 in 34 games is up there with all but the top 2 or 3 strikers in the premier his record is all the more remarkable given that some have been part appearances from the bench okay so he's not the most efficient striker in terms of chances to goals but we have scoring options from all over the park it's not as if we rely on his goals alone i know i'd rather have him as wasteful as he is netting and contributing 20-25 goals a season.I think we'll win comfortably today it'd be nice to see what a fully fit Jovetic can do for us the fleeting looks we've already had at him tell me he's a useful player.

I think nastasic needs a run of games. Him and vinny were absolute solid last year and I can't see why pelle doesn't go with this combination.

I agree with both those changes, but I also think that Lescott should replace Nasty. I am not sure that Nasty has the confidence at the moment.

Sadly Nasty seems to be half the player he was last year. Playing time helps build confidence but we can't afford any more slip ups.
I agree we should start with Lescott and have Nasty off the bench once the game is secure.

It's like telling a traditional Italian centre half to go play in the Barcelona team, in a nutshell nasty will have to adapt his game or find himself in the wilderness!!!
