I'm worried about the weather: I live a few hundred yards from the Thames and I don't want to spend tomorrow searching for sandbags when I should be in Norwich!

Assuming that I am at the game, I hope Manuel feels confident enough in Jovetic's fitness to start him. Fitness permitting, my starting 11 would be:

JH
PZ, VK, MDM, GC
JM, YT
JN, DS
AN, SJ

If Negredo is not fully fit, I'd be tempted to bring in Rodwell and push Yaya forward or play Merlin and Jovetic as the front two.

Can't really argue with that team. Personally, I don't think he will play Milner in there for some reason although i hope he does. But tbh it shouldn't matter who plays in there we should have enough to beat Norwich anyway.

I wouldn't normally go for Milner in the middle but if Garcia is still not fit (?), we have limited options. Rodwell ought to be able to slot in there but probably needs to build up some form by getting time coming off the bench.

The slight worry is that he might even favour MDM over Rodwell in CM if Garcia isn't fit. I'd have Milner in there before Rodwell and MDM but don't think Pelle fancies him

Just a thought guys. Is anyone worried about the weather for this game? Apparently there are winds of up to 80mph blowing towards our goal?

I know it sounds ridiculous but it could give them an advantage.

25mph south westerly forecast for tomorrow at 3.00pm - the only gusts reaching 80 mph must be from your arse:)

Cant believe how poor silva is in front of goal avergeing 5-6 goals a season in a city shirt and 20 in 79 for spain so realistically he scoes a goal once every 8 or 9 games for someone with his abilty you would think he would get a few more.

David gets himself in the box a lot, so he must fancy his chances, but for some reason he snatches at things when you can't help thinking that all he needs to do is stay calm and pass it into the net.

But he has changed in the time he's been with us ... in his first season, he just refused to shoot - would pass to someone else even if only had the keeper to beat ... then in his second season he started shooting on-site, but most flew over the bar / wide ... now he is making runs into the box but then snatching at them.

Hopefully at some point he'll get it right.

Fantastic player, though !

We'd be unlucky for the wind to change direction at half time

If Norwich come out fighting then we could have a very difficult game here, last year we had to play very well to get 3 points and that was with Aguero in the team. Their manager could be on his last legs and could get the sack if he loses this one badly so they are no doubt going to come out fighting for him. Looking at the side that played them last season compared to tomorrows likely lineup there isn't much in it and the only difference could be just about taking chances, we are definitely weaker I feel in midfield and with Nasty not in any sort of form we still need to find that balance at the back so we are bound to concede at somepoint. Our defence just isn't something to be confident about so we need to take chances, it will probably be another 4-3 like last year.

I don't know if Negredo was fit on Monday but he didn't look to be all there but still I'd rather see him starting alongside Jovetic who I thought was excellent against Spurs and really pushed Chelsea a little towards the end of Mondays game. Lets hope a win here can boost confidence and get us back on track for a run of 4 home matches and a cup final.

Dzeko has something with his ankle but will be included in the team list that is what Pelle said. So I am guessing Negredo-Jovetic it is going to be !

We were, of course, desperately unfortunate to be down to ten men for the second half. Worst 'Glasgow Kiss' I've ever seen!

Jovetic came with a big reputation and pricetag but has had a disastrous period with injury i'd like to see him given a few games just to have a look and see what he can do tbh.He should get plenty of service so if he knows where to be at the right time he should do well if (and it's a big if !)he stays free of more injury we've suffered enough injury woes.
