He has a point to be fair. We are now behind Chelsea and have by far the more difficult fixtures. Add to that the fact that they are playing with swagger, keeping clean sheet after clean sheet (1 goal conceded in 8 games now is it?) and you would have to say it looks very bleak.

Last weekend, we just needed to carry on as we were and we were in great shape to win it. What a difference a week can make.

Navas has varied between being shit and average all season, Jovetic has always been not very impressive to me very average, Yaya having his little lazy spell. Negredo is just Andy Carol without the pony tail and Dzeko makes barn doors feel confident about going undisturbed.

We've been screaming out for a break in our schedule to let the players recover, and the injuries are only making it worse. Until we actually have a couple of weeks where we're only playing 1 game every 7 days, I have a feeling we could be seeing more patchy form in the next few weeks.

Ironic when you think todays was the longest break they have had since November

the only reason Chelsea or anyone will finish ahead of us is down to two things.

1, terrible run of injuries, do you think if nasri, aguero and ferna was in the side either today or last Monday we'd only take 1 point?

2, our management team fucked up the window good and proper. we needed those players, so what if they asked for more money we'd make up the difference in prize money.

nothing we can do about that now so we just need a bit of luck with injuries.

Indeed, so many overreactions. We just lost to Chelsea, lost a bunch of our players who contribute most to our team clicking in an attacking sense, and were playing in godawful windy conditions.

Such a result was always on the cards.
