Regardless of what ones personal feelings may be with the sacking of Hughes and the teams performance or the lack of what I can only call the meeting of the expatiations of the new moneymen at City. It is a fact that there have been more draws than wins but the fact is City has only lost two games this season in the league. It is also a fact that City have not been capable of holding on to a lead and today’s game was another reminder of the problems in the heart of the city defence. We got lucky today not to come away with yet another draw.
But on the other hand we sit in sixth place with a game in hand. I suppose when one considers the amount paid out on players. That seem to play, as individuals and I shall say of one that Adebayor the furthest he has run all season so far has been his celebration when he scored in the Arsenal game.
I am undecided as yet if Hughes going is the best thing at this moment. I was a little shocked by it and even more shocked in the manner it came about. The man was sacked in public as live on T.V as it could have possibly have been. I do believe that it was a first.
I also believe that it was unfair and a despicable thing for any club to do and for a club like city to be the first to do so as a supporter of the club I totally object to such behaviour.
But there is an underline affect in all this. When one hears that six players have voiced their opinions to the club with regards to Hughes sacking. One has to wonder why only six. Is that a hint as to the underline problems at city?
But I would ask you to consider the sate of the Premier league at the moment.
Foreign investors owning the best clubs in the land it also seems that the influx of foreign managers is to continue. Who for the most part have not got a clue regarding the English game? It stretches from the league to the International team.
So is there an underling problem as to the way managers are trained within the English system.
I have decied i am sad to see him go But i am more pissed off with the manner of how it was done.
