Not a good day for City or for the game

Championships are designed for winners, not those that don't lose. Under Hughes, the side was not losing, no, but one win in ten league games isn't going to hide the fact they've felt defeat only twice.

Get a grip , its long gone since it was a sport, its a business, dont come on here being all indignant when we all know the days of us fans actually having any influence passed when the premier league started. Yes you are entitled to an opinion but dont delude yourself by thinking that actually counts anymore.
Yes it was handled badly, but cast your mind back to peter ried getting the boot, brian horton was in the stands that day and had been lined up weeks before, so its not like we havent been through it before.

The only thing that has changed is that the internets has given the likes of you and me a voice that may or may not be heard.

All we can do is still go to the games and worship the boys in blue like we always have, and enjoy the rollercoaster that is Manchester City.

Frank Clarke heard it on GMR.

There is no "right" way to sack a manager.

It seems to be like City accelerated the process because the rumour mill went into overdrive on Saturday.

I do acknolwedge that City are now leaking like a seive again. Great news for us Bluemoon regulars .

Who cares about the manner it was handled, fucking hell, the guy failed and is getting a multi-million pound handout.
Well said. I can't believe all this talk about it being done the "wrong way". I'm glad we did it sooner rather than later.

During December we have beaten Arsenal, Chelsea and Sunderland. We fought back with ten men to draw with Bolton, with the most appalling refereeing. Bellamy red carded for diving, when it should have been a penalty. Bad result against Spurs, but thats the exception, the second loss in any competition this year.

Even Santa Cruz is now justifying Hughes' judgement and scored a brace on Saturday. Bellamy runs his socks off for Hughes. Tevez said last week it was Hughes' vision that brought him to the club.

Sixth in the league. The stated target according to the club was sixth.

If this is getting it wrong I will bare my arse.

Not a good day for City.

press wars. one of the 'triumvirate' must have decided to swamp the saturday press. you remember that article in the times on friday(?), in the 'deja vu' thread? I have a feeling that might have gone down badly behind the scenes, and accelerated a few things.

the thought of leaks turning up here depresses the hell out of me. I like it better when I know who to believe (i.e. no-one).

"The man was sacked in public as live on T.V as it could have possibly have been. I do believe that it was a first."

Then you did not see how the manager for Poland Leo Beenhakker got fired :) That was in a live interview right after the last World cup Qualifying game :) Pretty lousy, but also quite funny the way the President for the Polish FA told the press that they were searching for a new manager...

The Bellamy foul was outside the box so no penalty even if the decision had gone our way!
