I'm not as bothered when we lose these days. Before we won the league I remember being in a foul mood when we lost to Arsenal away. I've been going since around 1990 so I'm city through and through, but I'm getting over losses much quicker these days which I guess is better for my health and makes me wonder how 'over the top' my support was previously. No word of a lie, when Owen scored that winner at the Swamp on 97 mins I screamed FUCK OFF at the TV in front of my wife's 80 yr old grandad (which I still feel terrible about) and had to lie down in a darkened room for a long time. Same when we lost 5-0 at the swamp - I felt physically sick.
Football will never be the same for me after Aguero's goal, that was the absolute pinnacle and since we won it I'm not as bothered about defeats. If we lose at the swamp in April I'll probably be a bit upset but not in the same way as before. I'm sure this is a good thing, just wondering whether anyone else feels the same about this?
