He's been saying it all summer and it's no surprise he's saying it again.

Quite right Roberto

Mancini may have presided over the biggest spending spree in Premier League history, but he couldn’t help but blame City’s slip-up on the fact that he doesn’t have enough players!

Mancini said after the game: “We’re lacking players at this moment. I can only change the full-backs or the strikers.

“I have only two midfield players, as James Milner and Nigel de Jong are injured. I don’t have players at this moment. Fulham were able to make changes after playing in Europe; we were not. We became tired," he said.

City, who played in the Champions League on Wednesday

where's this Hargreaves when you need him?

Or Stevie Ireland! And when is Michael Johnson gonna notch up a game in sky blue.

The most ridiculous and frankly embarrassing excuse ever.

A dangerous road to start going down imo for Bob and he needs to get his players performing for 90 mins instead of switching off.

We have 23 players and that includes the like of Onohua and Bridge. Who exactly could he have played instead of the two mids yesterday?

Damo stop it, stop it right now.

One of the most expensively assembled squads in world football.

We can not start peddling excuses like this.

We dropped points yesterday because we switched off again and failed to perform for the full 90 mins. Games should have been over by half time again but we failed to put the chances away, again.

Fulham started their season in June and had 24 hours less rest than us this week yet in the second half they are all over us like a rash?

Tiredness and a lack of players.......never!

That Mouse bloke on TalkSport put this across as if to say that Mancini hadn't enough players on the books after spending trillions on players, when the reality is he was just stating that 2 of our, what I'll call holding midfielders were out, meaning that we have to rely on the other 2 to play every game at the moment and with 3 games a week, they get tired.

Artistic licence by the journo's I think.
