The most ridiculous and frankly embarrassing excuse ever.

A dangerous road to start going down imo for Bob and he needs to get his players performing for 90 mins instead of switching off.

We have 23 players and that includes the like of Onohua and Bridge. Who exactly could he have played instead of the two mids yesterday?

Damo stop it, stop it right now.

One of the most expensively assembled squads in world football.

We can not start peddling excuses like this.

We dropped points yesterday because we switched off again and failed to perform for the full 90 mins. Games should have been over by half time again but we failed to put the chances away, again.

Fulham started their season in June and had 24 hours less rest than us this week yet in the second half they are all over us like a rash?

Tiredness and a lack of players.......never!

I couldn't have said it better. Can't stand those that make excuses!

He's our manager so listen to him,he does know what he is talking about!

What Roberto is saying there is being mis-interpreted by the papers and SSN.

He should have been wise to that, surely by now he is aware of how the media work, perhaps if he still struggles with the language he should leave the post match interview to his assistants......

As such, regardless of what he meant, what he said sounded pathetic.

Haven't really read what was said but lack of players is probably the most lame excuse.

We played wednesday at home Fulham played Thursday away. Also they were chasing us around for an hour.

He could have dropped tevez into the silva roll instead of bringing on Zab, he could have played Kolo or savic and pushed Komps out. We have plenty of options and should certainly have had enough to hold onto a 2 goal lead against a team that had scored 2 in their last 4 games.

WE are great with the ball but if teams get the possession then Yaya, Barry and Co need to get it back ASAP - This is when you see what a gamble Hargreaves was - it's no good having another squad player no matter how cheap if he's never fit enough to play

I did listen to him on the OS claiming that he felt it was "incredible" that we didn't win and that he was not happy with the lack of concentration showed and the fact players switched off.

He can bemoan not having certain players available for sure but they were not the reason we didn't win yesterday and he knows it full well and has said as much in the OS interview.

Great start to the season, 13 from 15 points, unbeaten, 2nd in the league and CL football but we just can't switch off like we do if we want to win the league and Bob desperately wants to win the league imo.

its clear what mancini is saying and it was clear to see the fact we still have a lack of quality to replace quality in the midfield even more so when injuries occur.

I thought what mancini said was just a simple statement of fact if you look at the totality of his comments. He stated that in the attacking and defending parts of our squad, appropriate cover was sorted, but there is still insufficient in the DM role, hence the suprising Hargreaves signing, which I think we can all agree is a risky proposition. Mancini is simply saying the same as hundreds of posters on here who can't wait for NDJ to return and who wish we had better options.

Of course the media will twist his words and make it sound like he was saying something completely different, but surely he cant be blamed for the misrepresentations of others

It would be good if once in a while one of our younger players was given an opportunity. Mancini seems not to favour this.

Getting rid of swp was a mistake too in my opinion. We are lacking wide players and as shown in his last 2 games he can still cause problems when given a chance.

Did we miss De Jong and Milner in the first half yesterday?

Where we short in that department then?

We dropped 2 points because we stopped playing, switched off and allowed an inferior side to get playing with the belief they could get back in to a game that should have been out of sight.

Despite sending 3 mids out on loan we still have 9, full international midfield players on the books and i would wager that Jol would swap every one of them for his given the chance, such is their quality.
