The tactics approach to games has not changed which is a worry. Asking inferior players to play in this way is part of the issue.

Nico was going to get sent off. Already on a yellow and had given another foul away just before the sub. He was never going to make the full 90 minutes. Gvardiol is a fabulous player but he is not a left back. He’s defensively the worst left back under pep and i include a broken down clichy in that. He isn’t learning. Time and time again he can be gotten behind with ease. Still think he’s a midfielder but for the love of god he is a liability at left back.
Subs gave us exactly what you’d expect. Those players aren’t fit to wear the shirt.

It doesn't lie as you correctly state. We have now become a team desperately trying to get in the top 4, just like half a dozen others. Be the same next season unless there's a big summer refresh.
