Nottingham Forest (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

You don’t know that. Like I said before Rhodri and Fern played lots of times with a yellow card, and I’m sure Nico has. Don’t think there was any need to replace the player who contributed to a solid defence.
He was on a yellow and made a foul and he was on his last warning 100% needed to come off

I think he is trying to get him self sacked even though that is highly unlikely to happen.
We need to get back on our bike quickly if we are to get CL football next season. We are not in a good place currently and we quickly need a more positive mindset.
There can’t be any other reason why he constantly plays Foden and Bernardo

Not sure but I don't think Pep appreciates Jack's lack of dedication to the game - not when he's not delivering on the pitch anyway.

But what's worse ? not giving a fuck in the game, Haaland Foden Silva played like they were from drunk from last night

Too many players performing at 70/80 % and unfortunately it's the same old fucking players. Whilst I think we'll still get top 4(5) the drop off from last season is remarkable. Big game players needed for next season. Huge plus is Khusinov, what a fucking player!
Kush is the future of this club.
And I hope we get more in like him.
But mate it's not 70/80%..
More like 30/ 40...

I get slagged of when I criticise the team. Well although we lost I was far more comfortable with what I saw today. The defence is definatly taking shape. We looked very tight and in control at the back. We need now to concentrate on creating more proper chances. I felt if we got the first goal today we would have won which I couldn't say in previous games. As always Haaland will only score if he gets the support. Savvy and Doku run themselves into the ground but there is little final product. Foden is hot and cold. He will never be a KDB. Again Khusonov is the business.I think with 30 pts to play for we will finish above Forest. They were nothing special. 1 chance 1 goal.

The wingers (Savinho/Doku/Grealish/Bernardo) are virtually zero goal threat. Savinho has 2 goals in 36 games. Im not digging the lad out, he’s young and has some talent but on minutes played he’s our number one Winger and not delivering anywhere near enough. That just cant be right for a team wanting to be competing for titles.

He should be 4th choice (Doku 3rd) with 2 world class wingers starting most weeks (like Sane/Stelimd/Mahrez/etc). Savinho should be being introduced to the team slowly and gaining experience. Not starting so many games. Its not fair on the lad, we've set him up to fail…

Granted the form of Grealish and Bernardo hasn't helped, however that should have been dealt with by last summer. Bernardo has wanted to leave for 3 years. We’re paying for keeping him now, looks totally disinterested!! Grealish is 1 goal in 10 in the 4 years he’s been here, just not acceptable!! Big changes required!!

Viana has a big job on his hands. Issues at GK, RB, LB, AM, Wingers and back up striker
We are looking at Winger Francisco Trincão from Sporting . 25yrs of age. Plays for the Portuguese national team . Has been with Barcelona 2020-23. . Sometimes fills AM spot. Currently in the league scored 8 with 10 assists. In all comps assists rises to 13 .

Them two wasters are really fucking me off.
Definitely not only are they bad when they actually get the ball they’re supposed to be our spark in the game and it’s like they go hiding behind the opposition so they can’t receive the ball

Ok had my tea and a drink and calmed down a little
Boy, this season has been long and painful but we are talking about a fight for top 4th place or Champions League spot, The truth is it could be a lot worse and a hell of a hole to dig ourselves out from.

Yes this season was coming, Yes Rodri injury was coming, Yes players having burnout, Yes We didn't want it to end like this, BUT Manchester City and our fans are the best in the world, All we ask is to be playing a game of football and we will follow come the good or bad times.

YARN | You know, this ain't so bad, Fred. | The Flintstones ...

Jury has its verdict in my house!

He can’t be a back up striker, as he can’t hold a ball up, he isn’t an out and out wide player, which he proved with a number of very unremarkable seasons before playing here, and he’s not good enough to change the full formation for.

He will have his moments, maybe get on the end of a few things, the odd nice strike, but in reality he’s a huge step down from what went before. I’d say he’s even a step down from Alvarez.

Yeah I noticed that from Foden in the first half, was literally in a position where it was impossible to receive the ball. Gvardiol was another one who seemed to shy away from the ball. Something ain’t right.

Another lamentable display on the road. Build-up far too slow, as ever, zero decent service to the Viking, not one dangerous cross from any of our many flying (and some non-flying) wingers
