We need more end product and not keeping the ball for 30 to 40 passes, we go from back to front then out wide then back into midfield and it all starts again, lets get some goals on the scoreboard before playing fancy Dan football

This 100%. I'm bored and frustrated by the style of play.

Oh and as for these rinse and repeat opposition breakaway goals- an absolute disgrace.
 
Their goal again was worse than schoolboy stuff and once again in the last part of the game which has become an all too recurring theme.

We learn nothing from our defeats and are a soft target for any side who can defend behind the ball and catch us out with ease.

Pep has to take his fair share of blame for this irrespective of who we have on the park at the time.

There are so many deficiencies with this squad its very hard to see even a skerrick of evidence they comprise of the same players in the main that took to the filed last season.

All I can conclude is that Pep flogged them to death for one last tilt and succeeded achieving both.

Imagine if this squad went around next season we would have no chance of finishing top 10 least of all top 5.

It’s difficult to criticise Pep I know,given his achievements, but you make a lot of valid points. So many games like this are annoyingly predictable. I can’t see any radical change of direction on the horizon this season ,other than Rodri’s return.

Fans waiting on rodders return are in for a shock if the tactics stay the same..

I'm sure that in due course we'll hear from Phil as to why he hasn't been his usual self all season. We keep ballooning shots like rugby conversions. It is strange, but I have every confidence that next season we'll be hugely better than this one with one or two providing service for Erling!!

Unfortunately the rest of Europe knows too..
And they've found a way to nullify it.
"All of them" .
It's not effective anymore.
It's basically retro..

You are in for a shock when Rodri and Echeverri line up for City. City's advanced midfield is currently appalling.

What has happened to Foden? His head seems to have gone.

But we were still very poor in the 2nd half today in what was a very poor game.

We don't have the players to play as we did. It's got nothing to do with evolving tactics. We've gone from being the team that would out-run and out-press everyone to a pitifully weak side that would be outworked by Man Utd

Joe Hart regularly got abuse on here, great saves are pointless if you make the same amount of mistakes as great saves.

I think that’s ridiculous, we’re now subbing players off because they’re on a yellow. They’re paid millions, they should be expected to tweak their game to not dive in or be petulant. Especially when it means the alternative is bringing Kovacic on! What if Haaland gets a yellow or Dias, we subbing them off too? They’re professional footballers ffs.

Well it started badly, then went into a bit of a slump, after which it was downhill all the way. Highlights should last about 25 seconds
