Thank God football is back, and no I don't count the Stretford rats' game last night.

For the first time in a few weeks I'm expecting an away win, if we have that hunger and desire then we have to show it today.

Can't see a much changed team, but with such a congested fixture list in January, who knows.

Come on blues, top of the league by teatime please!

Anyone else on here remember going to the FA Cup game in 1978ish at the City ground.

It was postponed with fog, after we'd arrived after making that horrible journey back then.

So as we were on the official supporters coach, the driver asked us what to do next and then took us all to a pub for a few hours, and then back to Maine Road.

I'm sure I haven't dreamt that trip:-)

Anyroads tomorrow the kick off is horrible, but the same for them.

Hopefully we are up for it, we've had a few days off to prepare. C'mon you blue boys.
I remember that day. We turned back close to Nottingham after hearing the game had been called off then broke down on the way home ! Had to wait for assistance for hours in the freezing cold on the Moors.

Wishing all travelling Blues a safe journey today with a win to celebrate on the way back.

I don't remember it being called off for fog, I remember it as being called off for snow. I was on a Godfrey Abbott coach which skidded on the moors and ended up sideways across the road.

So we all got out, half the coach went to the back and pushed one way, the other half went to the front and pushed the other by which means we spun it back onto the road. Unfortunately the brakes had been damaged so we limped to a pub up on the moors and found out the game had been postponed.

We had to wait there for a replacement to take us back to Sale. On the way back, we passed a car in a ditch so we all jumped out and bodily lifted it back onto the road. Turned out they were Blythe Spartans fans on their way to Stoke. They were so grateful they wrote to City and their letter was published in the next home programme.

How do fans know if he's fit or not? Obviously we should be cautious but I think City know that.

It's a huge boost to know that he's close
If you go off Peps word a few weeks ago he said Rodri will need a mini pre season once he’s back feeling comfortable. I’m no doctor or physio, but throwing in Rodri back into the eleven as soon as he’s available again seems mad. We’re doing good without him, I hope they are getting him ready for a second half of a season onslaught. For me, if he’s available again get him ready for United away next month.

Gonna need an early goal imo. They will be dangerous on the counter they have some very fast players which we have always struggled with given our high line.

Can see a 1 - 1

He is the "Invisible Man".
No John Boy is the Invisible Man I vote for every Man of the Match thread!! ;-) :-)

Look (without a drop of alcohol passing my lips) I still have the Christmas spirit!!!

Oh how I miss my glass of white wine plus a follow up Bailey’s at Christmas. ;-) ;-)

The best of luck today City and hopefully we can sit top of the table for the New year.
Brighton win at Arsenil & Chelsea draw with Villa today then an Arsenil Villa draw on Tuesday will do it.
Safe travels to all blues and a great effort for getting out of bed so early to get to Forest for the breakfast time kick off. 0-4 City. Foden, Savinho & a Haaland double bubble.
Merry Xmas Robin Hood but no pressies for you today unless Maid Marian gives you a treat.

Tough one. Watched Forest v Fulham on Monday, deserved a draw without creating much. They have a very, very, physical striker called Jesus. It's a Sean Dyche team, they are at home, we need to compete physically.
