Nottingham Forest (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Very few, if any positives from that. To me this was the evening when it could swing our way, but posession counts for nothing and we looked toothless.

Haaland used to score for fun, now he's struggling, very few chances are coming his way but equally I think he's out of form. Phil is sadly miles off the pace.

We signed very good players, but over the last few years we have seen some of the best players ever to put on a City shirt leave the club. That's football, but despite my reservations, I still think there are twists to come.

Doom & Gloom merchants the minute we don't win a game, I see.

Still think we're in with a good shout, game against them and a game in hand, we probs have a draw or two left in us, but so have they. Shit we dropped points at home to a pretty shite Forest, of course, but always throwing the towel in if a game doesn't go our way is getting a bit tiresome.
We've been playing like that for months and getting away with it.
It wasn't a "one-off" performance wise, it's the norm.

We've dropped about 12-13 points from winning positions because we're not that team.

Arsenal ain't great, that's why we've managed to stay in the mix.

How many goals have Haaland and Foden scored between them in the last 15 games, I get less than 5.
We're carrying too many players.

Even worse......all the posts will be flooding in about Gibbs-Shite & Anderson.......on tonights showing Anderson would add nothing we haven't got, O'Reilly offers at least the same in m/f.
......need a goal, so take off the one player who could produce something out of nothing, Cherki....and put on Savinho, who actually manages to produce fuck all out of anything....words fail me why he's still even here.
Anderson will be a great replacement for Bernardo. He keeps the ball, is strong as an ox and can put his foot in. He's a very intelligent player. Him and Gibbs White are their best players by a mile.

Twists & turns left yet, unbeaten run continues arsenal playing li

The usual knee jerk shit on here following dropped points. All the players are shit apparently and so is the manager!

We played OK, not brilliant, but we controlled most of the game. Forest are fighting to stay in the league, so we were never going to have it all our own way and they were always going to have a go at some point. They scored two worldies. The ref was questionable also.

Shit happens, we move on.
We controlled fuck all mate. Forest couldn't give a fuck about us having the ball and passing it backwards and forwards. They were fine with it as they knew when we got it wide we'd not cross it or put it in the danger area. They were relaxed and then when they broke they done it in numbers. Very good game plan.

You're right though, it was never going to be an easy game and although they're in trouble with relegation they have some very good players who can hurt you, and we're a team who can be wounded especially in the second half of games.

Maybe it isn't us in second halves not performing, maybe it's the opposition who have just learned to let us have the ball, tire ourselves out and then hit us later in games when we lapse into thinking we're in control?

That was awful, did we play ok as some suggest, I don’t know, we really didn’t create much of any note. Subs way too late needed pace earlier on. Playing Cherki, Foden and Bernardo together just doesn’t work - a thousand passes going nowhere and none of them can stop or get back for the inevitable counter-attack. All around poor.

Think I'm ready for a change. Not arsed who goes at this point, I just can't be arsed watching a third season of this paper tiger bullshit.

It's like watching Arsenal during Wenger's later years.

Wenger went over a decade without winning the league again. Not like the Wenger later years at all.

Been coming for weeks that. Fucking sick to death with this mind numbingly slow shite we call football. We can't just defend a 1 goal lead all season. Fucking pathetic

come on we played controlled walking football werent arsed till well into injury time
Yep, far too much pointless slow possession centrally instead of getting it wide quickly and getting some decent balls into the box. When it went 2-2, we then showed a bit of urgency and put them under some pressure, all a bit to late in the day by then.

And you base your optimism on exactly what? Hope is not a strategy!

No such thing as a soft penalty. If you come out as a goalie and do not even touch the ball, but in the process touch the attacker, then it is a penalty. The force doesn’t matter as Sels fouls him. These have been consistently given. Arsneal got a penalty 3 years ago when Ederson touched Nketiah or whoever was their attacker at the time.
What happened 3 years ago is irrelevant

Keeper doesnt play haaland and pulls his arms away

even haaland was laughing about it which tells you everything..he tried to play for a penalty and didnt get it...none of the players even really complained.
