Nottingham Forest (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

I’m actually the opposite, not a massive fan of the direction the club seem to be taking in terms of signings. A lot of players who lack in any sort of technical ability, it all seems to be about power. I’m amazed at how many of these players are playing for a Pep side. Not got one winger who can reliably beat a man and create, so we rely on Nunes….

We're 2nd in the league, a year into the rebuild.

In the summer we'll continue to bring in players to improve us. We're a work in progress and not that far off it.

Thought we had snatched it last second, was hoping we could keep sneaking these wins like we have been.

Still, they had a great chance from a corner in injury (cant remember who it was)
That goes in and it could affect us massively
Personally hoped we'd start just battering teams

The same old issues raised their head again.

Some of the players really are not very good. Maybe ok passing it about but actually making an impact to win games. So slow breaking today. Creativity crap, small chances like at the end go in. We have undone some of our good work recently.

We need Arsenal to drop lot of points. Maybe 1/2 games they will but it won’t be enough.

Pep doesn’t seem like he wants to win—honestly. Keeping Foden on the pitch for 77 minutes and taking Cherki off when the team clearly needed creativity makes absolutely no sense.

It has become far too easy to score against City. Any team, regardless of their position or level, seems capable of scoring one or even two goals at the Etihad.
Playing slowly and needing 50 passes before even attempting to create a chance is simply not effective.

Pep needs to review his beliefs and decisions, because players like Foden, Díaz, and sometimes even Haaland should be substituted when their performance drops or when they don’t fit the flow of the game.
Unfortunately, we don’t seem to know how to win consistently or how to keep the pressure on Arsenal.

Ignore the gaslighting happy clappers, we were shit against Newcastle and Leeds too and now we got exposed. Our football is fucking garbage.
Happy clappers? Blues are rightly angry with what the officials bring to our club, and your response is that we are ‘fucking garbage’

Sounds to me like you’ve never seen garbage, and I wouldn’t even describe us that when I was watching in the thin times.

As Bernie says, he knows how it works.

Doom & Gloom merchants the minute we don't win a game, I see.

Still think we're in with a good shout, game against them and a game in hand, we probs have a draw or two left in us, but so have they. Shit we dropped points at home to a pretty shite Forest, of course, but always throwing the towel in if a game doesn't go our way is getting a bit tiresome.
And you base your optimism on exactly what? Hope is not a strategy!

Ragsvwent back to basics by putting to DM in front of there four and it works as we concede wat to easy, we certainly don't look like a scoring with side to side bullshit.

That one really hurts because Forest was terrible for most of that.

Odd substitutions by Pep, too. Why is he taking out Cherki, Ait Nouri, and Foden when we’re trying to score a goal?!

That said, we were fortunate to be even in the title race to begin with.
Foden shouldn’t have got back on the pitch for second half, he was awful.

We were poor against a Forest side who were very average. Their goals also came from our poor defending.
Cannot gloss over it unfortunately.
Our average lvl of play has dropped significantly the last couple of seasons. There can be a few very good games from time to time, but not often enough.
