Nottingham Forest (H) | Post Match Thread

A few players looked rejuvenated tonight. Bernardo had his best game of the season.

The big difference was taking a shot and moving the ball quicker. Kev in the mix seemed to bring the best out of others who have been out of sorts.

A lot of positives overall.

Much better performance but most of that was down to Kev and Doku attacking wise. Hopefully Akanji and Ake aren't serious, it's one step forward 2 back with defenders getting injured.

We need to put Kev into one of those machines, like in the Alien films where he goes to sleep but doesn't age, and we can just wake him up an hour before kick off.

Not sure his Mrs and kids would be happy but needs must.

Good performance, and great to see Kev back, made a difference tonight. Jack was excellent in midfield, and Bernie had a lot more energy and urgency. Ortega played well, and Eddie looked like he knew he is on the bench for a while. Kevin’s presence made a difference tonight, but Doku was just unplayable. They worried about him all night and he made such a big difference tonight to our attack. The injuries are a concern for weekend, but hopefully tonight provides some much needed confidence.

Dippers will be very quietly worried. They may not say it out loud, but they’ve seen City claw back gaps like this in much shorter time

In one month there will hopefully be reinforcements - you never know…
I honestly would rather us consolidate this season and have a tilt at a second champions league, especially if it meant we were likely back to our imperious best next season.

Not having a ding dong for yet another title (whilst would be appealing) I can’t help but think it would hamper the rebuild

That said could be a hell of race this season as I suspect Chelsea will have some say in it

Team looked far more balanced without Rico, Walker and Foden in the same team.

Rico has been thrown in at the deep end due to injuries, he's not ready yet but has had to play. No idea what's happened to Walker. His legs are going and he seems to have lost all sense of positional play and defending. Something isn't right with Phil as his frequent mysterious absences prove.
