Gibbs-White is mint, think he’ll get a big move in a few seasons, but what a play acting ****.

Gone from the hardman standing head to head with a bloke to rolling around the floor after delaying his fall by a couple of seconds.
 
Of all the players to get sent off... Gives us a challenge now for the coming games. But find a solution to that and I see us pulling away early doors. Have time to work n it I guess, seems to be some confusion whether the carabao cup game counts.

Forest got in our faces,entitled to do that, we should react professionally and mostly did. Not helped by Taylor I think it's fair to say, let a bit too much to and then jumps on us for a foot out of place. In cases like this it's when we miss a real git in the side, kicking it up, getting in faces, dropping bombs then walking away. We can play the winding up game too.

Still,3 points, 6 out of 6 and we can see they're hungry for a fourth title in a row.
 
Between Phillips and Kovacic, we should be capable of managing the loss of Rodri. I haven’t seen the incident yet though

Just seen a replay of the Rodri incident and got to say it was a fucking soft red card, of course Rodders should know better etc but he took a few nasty kicks in the first half and was probably a bit pissed off.
thought Phillips did ok when he came on and maybe a rest will do Rodders and Phillips well. Should see quite a few fresh faces for the trip to Toon.
 
Taylor: Think back to West Ham two seasons ago. It's 2-2 in the penultimate game of the season and a City player (Sterling IIRC) is fouled in the box. A clear penalty but not given by Taylor so VAR steps in and he's asked to look at the screen. He changes his mind and Mahrez misses.
The point is that it looked nailed on at normal speed and VAR is there to help the refs. But VAR shows all the angles, and it looked a foul from every single camera angle. Worse still, many camera angles showed Taylor had an uninterrupted view of the incident. So why didn't he award it?
At this point I'd like no replies from those who say he's useless, corrupt or a rag tosser. Or any combination of those.
I want an explanation from those who think he's none of those things. He had a clear view of a foul in the box but didn't give the penalty. And had he given it and VAR thought he was wrong they could overrule him. He didn't give a penalty because he didn't want to give a penalty.
And it's bloody worrying because he is one of the better (or least worse) refs when City aren't involved.
Rodri got punished for being a dick, Taylor will probably be rewarded for it.

We need a countdown clock! The attendance is posted at the start of the first half 'n every time some one fucks off through a turnstile it clicks one off the total!

Just got back from the game. South stand mint as always for creating atmosphere. Was in 101 but definitely going to try and be at one of the standing blocks or SS soon because the atmosphere around me was dead at times. Don't know why we didn't go all out after the second goal during the first half. Wasn't surprised at the red card at all, bit of a nervy start to the second half too especially after the red card and ederson yellow card. Still, a pretty good performance overall.

Foden and Walker both superb. Nunes and Doku look impressive too.

I was in 101 too and sadly us season ticket holders are being replaced every season by folk who seem unable to sit for 45 minutes and watch a half of football. Many have multiple trips in and out and the level of disruption is a joke. I like to sing but not many share that which is a shame. Too busy filming Haaland.

We travel over 500 miles to attend a game and it sticks in the craw that it is ruined as a spectacle by the referee. So so biased and he will be on a Brucie bonus for sending Rodri off. Some other observations:
I thought we were great in the first 20 minutes and poor for the remainder of the half - energy dropped albeit we still controlled the game. After Rodri went we lost control for a good period. Anyone doubting how important he is to our possession based football got to see what life is like without him in spades. Philips lacks the positional awareness and physicality to do a decent job in the role albeit he made a couple of good runs. For 20 minutes nobody seemed capable of playing keep ball. Things improved when we started playing long and improved further when Jack came on. We showed character and resilience in the second half but little else. Thought the crowd rallied and created a great deal of support for the team.

Noooooo, if they're having a piss, a fag or a drink they're still inside! Only if yer go out of the ground does it knock one off! Actually, I think a lot more would have stayed had Taylor fucked off after 30 minutes.
 
Played some very good stuff in the first half and the first half. Then Rhodri had a brain fart. Shame it ruined a good game, but occasionally people do silly things.
We will miss him.
