Genuinely can't understand why Rico is getting so much grief on this forum. It's puzzling, and it's dismaying. He's one of the best players to come out of the academy. He's technically accomplished, he's a fine reader of the game. His weakness — and I will not deny it — is that he gets physically bullied, and I think he always will be. If he's played in the right position, I think that will be attenuated. I'd just as soon see him in the team as anyone. Nobody's playing particularly well.

SOrry I really dont see anything in him at all.Realise he has England caps but I personally dont see a top 6 player in him at the moment.Hes too weak and his positional sense is very poor.

And Akanji then stood off him by 5 yards, effectively giving Salah an open invitation into our box. Why he didn’t get tighter to him only he will know……
He doesn't get tight on people that's his weakness imo. First time I noticed it was when Rashford got that bloody late winner at the swamp and I thought hecshould have got a block in. He's not our biggest problem and good when not under the cosh but I don't think he instinctively gets in good defensive positions.

Don’t see what he offers or ever will to be a regular in a top side. Works hard and technically decent but that’s about it. Doesn’t really have a position. Not good enough to be a regular 8( think of the standard of players we’ve had in there over the last 10 years). Not good enough defensively to be an out and out fullback. To me he doesn’t offer enough going forwards to warrant the trade off playing inverted that say peak Cancelo could.

Don't think it's good for any player to have an undecided position, for Rico it will be either RB, RM, RW. A bit like James Milner, because we never knew his best position, he always drifted in and out the team. For Rico's career it would be best if he and Pep and whoever, resolved this once and for all. Then Rico can work constantly on his positional play, on becoming really comfortable with his role. Fullbacks who don't have exceptional speed have to develop tatical and positional nouce to ensure opponents dont exploit it, they can still be elite players though. There's unlimited good will towards Rico, every one of us wants him to do well but he needs to get a position nailed down. There are questions why he gets so much game time and Jimmy Mac gets basically none. McAtee is captain of England U21 has lots EFL game time but never gets a sniff. Would he have been as bad as Nunes on Sunday ? When results are shite we all get hyper critical and become Monday morning quarter backs, but results don't lie....

Forest aren't mug's. They've beaten the dippers away and drawn with Chelsea away. A pretty solid defence and good on the counter which is our kryptonite at the moment. I'd take any win.

I don't like seeing predictions for us winning four or five nil, talk about fucking jinxing it. Show a bit of humility after recent results.
Ecaxtly! It really isn't going to be pretty believe you me. If we concentrate for 90 odd minutes, don't have any silly brain farts and put our chances away(would also help if the goalie doesn't have a worldie again) then we might just get there. It certainly isn't going to easy, the table doesn't lie.

What do you see as his best position mate? I think he has all the attributes to be a great footballer but hasn't found his home yet
